Ultralight Packing Cubes

At the top of the list, Peak Design is introducing new Ultralight Packing Cubes, which help make limited storage space more organized so that you can peak efficiently and find everything you need with ease when you open your bag for the first time on your trip; indeed, no more rummaging through your bag to find something that may have shifted on your travels.

Peak Design are offering these in new materials that suit users who require additional packing flexibility. One of those materials offers improved weather resistance, while the other stretches to fit items that wouldn’t ordinarily fit in a more rigid design.

According to Peak Design, the Ultralight Packing Cubes differ from the original Packing Cubes in the following ways:

  • A simplified design comprised of a single packing volume and a single-entry zip, which compares to the previous-generation dual volume compartments and compression zip
  • A greater assortment of sized to choose from, including Small, X-Small, and XX-Small to be better suited to non-clothing items
  • Two new material options to pick from with different functions, including: 1) Terra Shell ultra-light 100% recyclable shell fabric with taped seams and ultra-zips for improved weatherproofing; and 2) Nylon Mesh material that offers breathable and stretchy functionality that works well for damp or oddly shaped goods
  • A spot to put a carry strap to instantly convert these packing cubes into ultra-light sling bags
  • Better foldability that makes these cubes more packable than ever by allowing them to cinch tightly and store just about anywhere
  • New colors that weren’t previously available for Packing Cubes, including Cloud, Dune, Sage, Eclipse, and Black

The Ultralight Packing Cubes are available from Peak Design’s website in the following options:

  • XX-Small in fabric or mesh – $14.95
  • X-Small in fabric or mesh – $19.95
  • Small fabric or mesh – $24.95
  • 3-Pack fabric or mesh – $49.95

Travel Duffel Bags

Peak Design 80L Travel Duffel Bag.
80L Travel Duffel Bag by Peak Design is a gargantuan packing bag for heavy travelers.

In addition to packing cube updates, Peak Design is enhancing its selection of Travel Duffel bags, which might be used to store Packing Cubes and any other goodies you might bring during longer trips.

Peak Design has always offered Travel Duffels in 35L and 65L options, but users wanted more options to pick from – either 35L wasn’t big enough, 65L was too big, or users needed more than 65L. For this reason, Peak Design is introducing new 50L and 80L Travel Duffel options.

According to the company, the 50L Travel Duffel provides optimal capacity while still conforming to U.S. carry-on bag size limits, which will make it especially popular for air-goers. The 80L Travel Duffel, on the other hand, is a monstrously large option that gives users the most volumetric storage space of any bag Peak Design has ever made. This might be a good option for camping, going out of town (without flying), and traveling with larger payloads.

When considering Packing Cubes, Peak Design uses the ‘Packing Unit’ unit of measure. The brand says the following bags can hold the following Packing Units:

  • 35L Travel Duffel: 3 Peak Design Packing Units – perfect for international carry-on ($139.95)
  • 50L Travel Duffel: 4 Peak Design Packing Units & bonus space – perfect for U.S. carry-on (154.95)
  • 65L Travel Duffel: 4 Peak Design Packing Units & lots of bonus space – perfect for check-in ($169.95)
  • 80L Travel Duffel: 8 Peak Design Packing Units – perfect for check-in ($184.95)

Small Tech Pouch

Peak Design are also releasing a brand-new Small Tech Pouch, which is perfect for all your small technology needs.

These types of containers have often been used to carry things such as chargers, cables, memory cards, flash drives, wallets, AirTag tracking devices, phones, batteries, and other small gizmos and gadgets.

The new Small Tech Pouch conserves more space than the previous version, allowing those with smaller requirements to dedicate more of their packing bag to important packing requirements rather than tech. According to Peak Design, the Small Tech Pouch is about half of the size of the original, and easily fits into any bag’s corner.

Get a Small Tech Pouch for only $49.99 from Peak Design’s website.

Packable Tote

Peak Design Sage Travel Tote.

The last item that Peak Design is launching this week is a new Sage-colored Packable Tote, which means that you can carry around this stylish bag in a fun new color.

Peak Design says that the new color of Packable Tote is constructed from the same self-mending Versa Heal nylon that the brand’s other Packable Totes are constructed from – it just looks different with the new color option.

This is a handy bag for splitting away from your larger Duffel Bag you’ll be leaving in your hotel room so that you can pack only the essentials for getting away. It also won’t break the bank at just $19.95.

Personally, I’m stoked for many of these new traveling accessories from Peak Design. I can see a lot of future travel plans where the larger Duffel Bag is going to come in handy, and I think I’ll combine that with some Packing Cubes so I can organize my and my significant other’s belongings properly so that we can easily access our stuff in our hotel.
