ifConnected augments Low Power Mode with new toggling options

Battery life is one of those essential things that iPhone owners are always trying to improve. The Low Power Mode setting that comes baked into iOS can help with this, but it could still do with some improvements.

Given some of the shortcomings that Low Power Mode exhibits on the iPhone, iOS developer Soh released a new free jailbreak tweak called ifConnected that brings a handful of new toggling features to the platform.

Queen guitarist Brian May: “Apple’s become an entirely selfish monster”

Brian May, the lead guitarist of the British rock band Queen that was fronted by late singer Freddie Mercury, has expressed his disdain for Apple's choice of the USB-C standard over the previous connectors. In his rant, May complained about the USB-C connectors bending too easily. He wrote that we’re now “forced into using these damn USB-C connectors for everything” in yesterday's Instagram post accompanied by a picture of a bent USB-C cable.

Last chance to downgrade to iOS 12.0.1 for potential jailbreakability

Apple officially released iOS 12.1 to the public last week, and if history is anything to go by, then that means the Cupertino-based tech giant will soon close the gates for downgrades to iOS 12.0.1 via iTunes.

Apple generally closes the signing window for older firmware approximately 14 days after a new version is released, give or take a day. That said, if you’ve been thinking about downgrading back to iOS 12.0.1, then you should probably get a move on.
