Upcoming Jailbreak Tweak Lets You Tweet With Siri

It was only a matter of time, but the inevitable has finally happened. Even though you could already use this workaround to send status updates to Twitter using Siri, you can now tweet with Siri courtesy of an upcoming jailbreak tweak.

The yet to be named tweak is making its way around the blogosphere, and should be released to the public in the very near future.

We're pretty impressed by how accurate tweeting with Siri actually is, but that should be expected since Siri is very precise when it comes to dictation.

Top Jailbreak Videos of the Week

Last week we saw the release of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 untethered jailbreak, in what was the biggest week for jailbreak news in quite some time. To celebrate, this week's top jailbreak videos contain an extra heaping-helping of video goodness for you to consume.

Please be sure to share our iPhone, iPad, and iOS video guides by spreading our posts on Twitter and Facebook.

How to Install Siri on iPad 2

Siri on the iPad 2 is now a reality, courtesy of the iPad 2 untethered jailbreak. It became a lot more compelling with the release of tweaks like SiriToggles, and updates to Hands-Free Control.

We've already shown you how to install Siri on the iPhone 4, so we'll use that tutorial along with some additional key information to help you get Siri running on the iPad 2!

SiriToggles: Launch Apps, Control Brightness, and Toggle Settings Via Siri

It has barely been a day, and we've already seen a plethora of new jailbreak tweaks to take advantage of Siri in new ways. The latest is SiriToggles, and it looks like it could be one of the most promising thus far.

SiriToggles is like SBSettings for voice. You can literally control most of the vital aspects of your iPhone that you normally adjust on a day-to-day basis. Things like brightness, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and more can all be controlled using Siri commands.

Even better, Siri Toggles allows you to launch apps; and when we say launch apps, we mean every app, jailbreak or otherwise. Folks, you do not want to miss our preview of this jailbreak tweak if you're in possession of an iPhone 4S. This is going to make your lives a whole lot easier...

OpenSiri: Launch Apps Natively Using Siri

Didn't we tell you? The floodgates are opening for Siri tweaks now that the iPhone 4S jailbreak is available.

OpenSiri is among the Siri tweak freshman class, and it allows you to launch stock Apple apps, plus Facebook and Twitter apps using nothing but your voice.

Check out our hands-on video of OpenSiri in action...

‘Hands-Free Control’ Takes Siri to the Next Level

The potential is startling. Once you play with Hands-Free Control in a true Siri environment on the iPhone 4S, it really hits you how much potential jailbreaking adds to Siri. Truly, the sky's the limit here as far as voice recognition and the like are concerned.

Imagine laying in bed with your iPhone half-way across the room. Problem: You forgot to set the alarm. Actually, no problem at all. With Hands-Free Control, Siri is always at your beckoning call...

VoiceUtils: Execute Custom Siri Commands on a Jailbroken iPhone 4S

Folks, the madness has started. One of the first jailbreak tweaks featuring custom Siri commands has officially made its way to the Cydia store, and it's called VoiceUtils.

VoiceUtils allows you to respring, reboot, power off, and enter safe mode — all via Siri. You're definitely going to want to check out our video of it in action...

How to Change Your Siri Microphone Color

Now that the iPhone 4S jailbreak is finally among us, it's time to start the fun. One of the most obvious features to tweak is Siri, the extremely popular personal assistant that's pretty much exclusive to the iPhone 4S outside of tweaks like Spire and the like.

One of the first tweaks available for Siri customization is Siri Mic Colors; in fact, this tweak has its own dedicated repo that houses multiple tweaks to alter the color of Siri. And we've got it all on video, check it out inside...

How to Set Up Spire [Video Tutorial]

A few days ago chpwn released Spire, a legal Siri port for the iPhone 4 and other devices. The release was met with much excitement, and likely just as much confusion. How does it work? Can it work with an existing Siri Proxy?

Getting Spire working on your non-iPhone 4S device may seem daunting, but it's actually fairly straight forward, especially if you've successfully followed our Siri Proxy tutorial in the past. The Spire setup pretty much involves the same steps needed to get Siri Proxy working, with a few notable differences thrown in.

Check inside as I show you how to get Siri running on your iPhone 4 using Spire. This should also work for other devices, like the fourth-generation iPod touch...

Siri Jailbreak Tweak Promises SBSettings-Like Experience

I've always thought something like this will be a good idea, and it will come to fruition as soon as an iPhone 4S jailbreak is released.

While the circumstances around an iPhone 4S jailbreak are still a tad sketchy, what's clear as day is that this tweak would be ridiculously handy, and should have been a native Siri feature to begin with.

Essentially, this allows you to control various toggles like Wi-Fi connection, bluetooth, etc. using only your voice. e.g. "Turn Wi-Fi on", "Set the backlight level to 60%", and pretty much anything else you'd normally be able to toggle with SBSettings.

ESRA: A Siri-Like Assistant For Older iOS 5 Devices

Let me preface this by saying that ESRA will be a disappointment to those who are expecting it to compete with Siri.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, let's talk more about this jailbreak app. ESRA stands for Experimental Speech Response Application, and as you can see from the video, it more than lives up to the "experimental" portion of the ESRA acronym...

H1Siri: App Claiming Full Siri Functionality For the iPhone 4 Surfaces in Cydia

Ever since videos started popping up online of Siri working on non-iPhone 4S devices, everyone has wondered one thing: when will it be available to the masses? Apple has restricted Siri to its latest handset, so hackers have taken it upon themselves to set it free.

Up until this point, the digital assistant port has only been possible for knowledgeable folks with access to iPhone 4S files. But a jailbreak utility has just surfaced in Cydia that could change that. The app is H1Siri, and it claims to offer full Siri functionality on the iPhone 4...
