It’s been a bit since we talked about the Odyssey jailbreak last given how it’s for firmware that’s around 4 years old, but since quite a few people still use jailbroken devices on iOS & iPadOS 13 today, it seemed imperative to mention interesting developments that could come to the Odyssey jailbreak in the foreseeable future.

In addition to updating the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool to its final end of life (EOL) update with support for iOS 12.5.7, the Odyssey Team pushed a similar EOL update for the iOS & iPadOS 13-centric Odyssey jailbreak tool with other changes late Monday night, bringing it up to version 1.4.3.

Odyssey jailbreak for iOS 13 updated to version 1.4.2 to bundle latest version of Sileo and make Havoc a default repository
It’s been a busy morning for the Odyssey Team. After having just updated the iOS & iPadOS 14-based Taurine jailbreak to version 1.1.2 with support for the latest Sileo release, they’ve now done the same with the iOS & iPadOS 13-based Odyssey jailbreak.
How to remove the Odyssey jailbreak without restoring your iPhone or iPad
If you jailbroke your iOS or iPadOS 13 device with the Odyssey tool and decided that it’s time to remove your jailbreak, either to revert to a vanilla installation of the operating system or for the purpose of starting over with a fresh jailbreak installation, then the Odyssey app’s built-in Restore RoofFS feature will come in handy.

Curiously timed with respect to the upcoming iOS & iPadOS 15 updates for iPhone and iPad, The Odyssey Team appears to have released an updated version of the iOS & iPadOS 13-based Odyssey jailbreak tool.
CoolStar teases libhooker mostly working on iOS 15 beta 8
Just a couple of days ago, the Odyssey Team shared that it was already investing in test devices for iOS & iPadOS 15 jailbreak development. The announcement was accompanied by a photograph of an iPod touch that had been custom engraved with the words “Odyssey Team” on the back.
More recently, Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar took to the Sileo / Taurine / Odyssey Discord channel to share that libhooker — the tweak injection method utilized by the Chimera, Odyssey, and Taurine jailbreaks for iOS 12, 13, and 14 respectively — was mostly working on iOS 15 beta 8.
Libhooker updated to v1.6.3 with support for proper userspace reboot on Odysseyra1n
If your jailbreak depends on libhooker for its primary method of tweak injection (I’m looking at you Odyssey and Taurine users), then you should find a new update is available upon launching Sileo and refreshing your sources.
Odyssey Team says mitigations for recently-discovered data loss & forced update issues coming soon
It was only a few days ago that the Odyssey Team acknowledged the discovery of a serious bug on iOS 14 that could cause data loss and/or forced iOS updates.
As such, the Odyssey Team recommended that users of newer versions of the Taurine jailbreak revert to Taurine version 1.0.4, as both versions 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 appeared to exacerbate this issue one way or another.
CoolStar announces upcoming libhooker Pro with premium features for jailbroken devices
In an announcement shared early this morning via the Sileo / Taurine / Odyssey Discord channel, Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar divulged that an upcoming premium jailbreak package dubbed libhooker Pro would soon be made available to the general public.
Anyone who uses the Chimera jailbreak for iOS 12, Odyssey jailbreak for iOS & iPadOS 13, Taurine jailbreak for iOS or iPadOS 14.0-14.3, or Odysseyra1n on a checkra1n-compatible device should know that libhooker is the tweak injection method that facilitates tweak-centric process hooking on these platforms. With that in mind, the concept of a pro version of libhooker is rather thought-provoking.
Odyssey jailbreak for iOS 13.0-13.7 updated to v1.3.2 with extensive list of changes
While much of the jailbreak hype these days has to do with iOS and iPadOS 14, it’s important to consider that iOS & iPadOS 13 are still considered “modern” in the jailbreak world.
With that in mind, it may come as no surprise to seasoned jailbreakers that the Odyssey Team has released an update for the iOS & iPadOS 13-centric Odyssey jailbreak tool this morning despite spending most of its effort releasing and refining the new iOS & iPadOS 14-centric Taurine jailbreak tool.
Libhooker updated to v1.6.0 to fix Caller ID & Call Blocking app bug
If you’re using a jailbreak that utilizes CoolStar’s libhooker tweak injection method, be it Chimera for iOS 12, Odyssey for iOS or iPadOS 13, Taurine for iOS or iPadOS 14, or Odysseyra1n for any firmware ranging from iOS 12 to iOS or iPadOS 14, then it would be advisable to launch the Sileo package manager and refresh your sources this morning.
Upon doing so, you should take notice of an updated iteration of libhooker, which appears to have been updated to version 1.6.0.
