Ezskip makes skipping music tracks even easier on the iPhone

If you use your iPhone as a media player just as often as you use it as an internet communications device, then we have no doubt that a newly released jailbreak tweak dubbed ezskip by iOS developer Kushy will be able to improve your music listening experience.

Just as the name implies, ezskip was created to make skipping between Now Playing music tracks even easier – even when your iPhone is locked in your pocket. With it, you can program one of two different volume button-based gestures to quickly skip to the next track in any Music app.

Lyricify fetches song lyrics for any Now Playing song

Not everyone cares about song lyrics, but if you’re the type of person who likes to follow along with whatever it might be that you’re listening to, then we have no doubt that you’ll enjoy a newly released jailbreak tweak dubbed Lyricify – originally by iOS developer ConorTheDev and more recently passed to iOS developer Renaitare.

As depicted in the screenshot examples, Lyricify was beautifully designed to display your favorite song lyrics directly on your handset’s Lock screen in an Apple-esque manner. With that in mind, the tweak looks and feels native, making it feel both familiar and easy to use.

Tune provides a sexier Now Playing interface for pwned iPhones

Those who listen to a lot of music on their iPhones are probably accustomed to looking at what seems like the same Now Playing interface Apple has provided for years. But if you’re like me and you’re looking for something a bit more eccentric, then you might enjoy using a newly released jailbreak tweak called Tune by iOS developer s1ris.

As depicted in the screenshot examples above, Tune can replace the traditional Now Playing interface with something a lot more aesthetically pleasing. At this time, the tweak supports two different styles, including Helius (left) and Spin (right).

Flow: A modernized Cover Flow UI for your jailbroken handset

I still remember the early days when Apple placed a heavy emphasis on Cover Flow for browsing your music library. While those days might be over, we’ve taken a particular liking to a newly released jailbreak tweak called Flow by iOS developer Muirey03, as it puts a modernized spin on the classic Cover Flow media view.

Those who remember Cover Flow probably remember it one of two ways: 1) clunky; or 2) simplistic. Cover Flow appeared nice to look at, but it wasn’t always as refined or fluid as I would have liked. Flow, on the other hand, modernizes the Cover Flow concept such that it not only looks good, but works just as well.

NextUp 2 upgrades iOS’ Now Playing widget with an interactive song queue

We absolutely love how Now Playing media information is accessible from virtually anywhere in iOS, but one thing we don’t adore is just how useless the Now Playing interface can seem at times.

Given the circumstances, we’re particularly excited to show you a jailbreak tweak called NextUp 2 (iOS 12) by iOS developer Andreas Henriksson, as it upgrades iOS’ native Now Playing interface with useful new controls pertaining to upcoming tracks.

BellePlayer offers less intrusive Now Playing interfaces for the Lock screen

If you listen to music on your iOS device often, then you likely take advantage of the Lock screen’s Now Playing interface to manage music playback as you walk into the dynamics of different environments.

While the native Now Playing interface is adequate for most users, those who demand a more refined experience will do good to check out a newly-released jailbreak tweak dubbed BellePlayer by iOS developer Geometric Software.

Take control of your Spotify Music app with Spos

If you use Spotify Music instead of Apple Music like I do and you have a jailbroken handset at your disposal, then you just might come to appreciate all the attention that Spotify gets from the jailbreak community.

A newly-released and free jailbreak tweak called Spos by iOS developer aesthyrica brings a plethora of new features and improvements to the official Spotify application, including but not limited to:

This tweak transforms the Home Bar into a Now Playing progress indicator

All notched handsets, including the iPhone X, XR, XS, and XS Max, ditch the traditional Home Button in lieu of the new Home Bar, which is a software-centric ‘grabber’ that lives at the bottom of your display. The Home Bar is used to unlock your handset, return to the Home screen, and access the App Switcher, but that’s about it.

It seems like the Home Bar could be made to do so much more, and that's why we were particularly fascinated by the release of a new free jailbreak tweak called HomeBarMediaProgress by iOS developer Jordan Koch (eskimo_dev), as it aims to give the Home Bar an added purpose. More specifically, the tweak transforms the Home Bar into a status indicator for any Now Playing media that might be playing in the background.

JumpSkip lets you skip between music tracks with your volume buttons

As you listen to music on your iOS device, you can move forward and back between tracks with the designated buttons in the Now Playing widget. But if your handset is in your pocket, then you can’t switch between tracks without first pulling the device out of your pocket.

JumpSkip is a new free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Karimo299 that lets you move forward and back between music tracks without taking your device out of your pocket; instead, you can articulate specific volume button sequences to accomplish this task.
