BetterCenter allows you to adjust the length of Notification Center

BetterCenter is a simple new iPad jailbreak tweak, which allows you to adjust the length of the Notification Center pane, both in landscape mode, and in portrait mode.

Extending BetterCenter's slider bars to their maximum extent, results in a full length Notification Center on the iPad, and we love the look of it.

How to search Cydia from Notification Center

There's a new widget available that allows you to initiate a Cydia search via a Notification Center widget, and it's appropriately titled Cydia-SearchNC.

This free download can be enabled via the Notifications panel in the Settings app, and doing so creates a handy search field directly in Notification Center.

How to add animations to the Lock screen, Home screen, and Notification Center

Are you looking to take Lock screen boot logo animations to the next level? If so, then AnimateAll is a new tweak that's worthy of your attention.

AnimateAll is a follow-up (an actual outright replacement) to a tweak that we covered in the past called AnimateLockscreen. The prior tweak only allowed you to add boot logo animations to your Lock screen, while AnimateAll goes the extra mile and adds the Home screen and Notification Center into the mix as well.

How to add the iOS 6 Twitter Widget to iOS 5

Now that iOS 6 has official built-in widgets for both Twitter and Facebook updates, wouldn't it be nice to be able to replicate those same widgets on iOS 5? Apparently that's the same thought the developer of iOS 6 Twitter Widget had when creating his tweak. This widget, as its name so plainly alludes to, allows you to have an exact replica of the iOS 6 Twitter widget on lesser firmware.

Upcoming tweak brings another Mountain Lion inspired Notification Center to iOS

Mountain Center is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that brings an OS X Mountain Lion like Notification Center to iOS. Now if this all seems a bit familiar to you, that's probably because you've seen or read about MountainLionCenter, which performs a similar action.

Oddly enough, it seems that both tweaks were being developed around the same time, completely independent of one another, hence the overlapping of functionality. But there is good news, because the tweaks differ enough to warrant giving them both a separate look.

Mountain Center adds a few options that you won't find in MountainLionCenter, like the ability to invoke Notification Center from either side of the screen, and more. Take a look at our full video walkthrough inside...

New in iOS 6: update Twitter and Facebook from Notification Center

Along with adding deep Facebook integration into iOS 6, Apple has also implemented a new Update bar in Notification Center. The bar allows users to quickly compose a new tweet or status update.

While this may not be the third-party widgets we were all hoping for, it will certainly prove useful. Now you'll be able to post to both Twitter and Facebook, without ever having to open their respective apps...

iOS 6 lets you tweet and update Facebook from Notification Center

Taking a cue from the jailbreak community, Apple has added the ability to update your social networking accounts from directly within iOS 6's Notification Center.

Using two new buttons in NC, users will be able to post new status updates to Facebook, and new tweets to Twitter, all without ever leaving the drop-down menu...

MountainLionCenter brings OS X’s Notification Center back to iOS

Apple's initiative to bring several highly notable iOS features "back to the Mac" is one of the hallmarks of its upcoming release of OS X Mountain Lion. One of the most touted iOS features to make its way to Mountain Lion is Notification Center. Notification Center on the Mac works similar to the way it does on iOS, with a few noted differences.

One of the main differences is the location of Notification Center — on the Mac it is docked and hidden on the right-hand side of the screen. Wouldn't such change be welcomed to Notification Center on the iPad? I say this, because in its current form, it's placed square in the middle of the screen no matter the orientation. In fact, it's sort of like an afterthought.

MountainLionCenter is the upcoming jailbreak tweak that plans to change this, placing it more in line with the way Notification Center works on OS X Mountain Lion. For more details, watch our full video walkthrough inside.
