While Spotify is over there launching playlists for pets, Apple is teaming up with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to launch a new playlist in Apple Music.
The Apple-owned headphone brand Beats by Dr. Dre yesterday announced a global marketing and merchandising partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The NBA preseason is underway, and the start of the NBA regular season is coming up soon, on October 17th, when the Warriors take on the Rockets. The NBA app for iOS has been recently updated to prepare for the start of the new season. The new version of the app includes all of the following updates:
Apple on Tuesday released a new television commercial promoting the Beats Studio Wireless on-ear headphones and the Beats Powerbeats3 Wireless in-ear headphones. “Beats powers the world’s greatest basketball players to make their statement on the biggest stage,” notes the ad.
The 30-second commercial, titled “Be Heard”, features NBA all-stars LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and James Harden who can be seen listening to a song by American rock duo “The White Stripes” while warming up with their Beats headphones.

With just four months remaining until Apple is expected to unveil its oft-rumored iWatch, a new report claims that the iPhone maker has teamed up with professional athletes to test the smartwatch's fitness capabilities in intense training environments. The report, citing a source with knowledge of the testing, adds that Apple has invited players from the MLB, NBA and NHL to its Cupertino headquarters on numerous occasions for this testing.
Apple is reportedly working with Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Kings right winger Dustin Brown and at least a few other star athletes, one being an unidentified player for the Boston Red Sox. The athletes have been forced to sign non-disclosure agreements that prohibit them from discussing the existence of the iWatch or their involvement in the testing process…
