This tweak keeps Google Maps from nagging you when Location Services are disabled

While most people grant Google Maps access to their location for navigation purposes, not everyone uses Google Maps for navigation. Other users primarily use the app for region exploration and keep Google Maps from accessing their location for privacy reasons.

If you're one of these people, and you hate seeing the location services warning alert every time you open the app, then you should install a new free jailbreak tweak called Google Maps - No Location Services Alert right away.

How to receive a notification when your friends are leaving or arriving at a set location

Apple’s Find My Friends app has been much maligned over the years and for many served as a great example that Apple does bloatware just as well as the competition. With the arrival of iOS 10 and the ability to delete the stock apps some users might find pesky, Find My Friends certainly must be a contender for the title of most frequently trashed app on the Home screen.

This comes in spite of the fact that, over time, Find My Friends has actually inherited some redeemable qualities: next to a useful widget, one feature in particular has enjoyed little to no exposure, even though there are compelling real life use cases for it.

GPS not working on your iPhone? Try this

Your iPhone’s GPS capabilities can be really useful, whether you’re using them to navigate to a special event, play Pokémon GO, or even to just grant your favorite apps your current location so they can do what they were made to do.

Of course, like all things, GPS can sometimes be flaky and it doesn’t always want to work right, causing headaches for you. Fortunately, there is something you can do about it. There are a number of troubleshooting steps you can take that might help your GPS work properly.

Instagram is removing GPS-aggregating Photo Maps from user profiles

Mashable is reporting that photo-sharing service Instagram has begun taking away Photo Maps from user profiles, a feature that renders photos on a world map based on where you took them as determined by the embedded GPS data. An Instagram spokesperson said they've begun ditching Photo Maps because they didn't prove popular with users (your individual Instagram posts remain geotagged). Photo Maps will remain on your profile tab for now though Instagram plans to remove them from there, too.

Go Radar update adds better Pokémon scanner and improvements to zoom

Ever since the removal of the footsteps feature from Pokémon GO, the crowdsource-based Go Radar app from the App Store has quickly become one of the most popular ways to help with Pokémon tracking.

The latest update (version 2.0) brings Pokémon scanning functionality that users have been requesting for some time, as well as improvements to the app's workflow that helps users get more out of it.

LocationHandle lets you spoof your location on iOS 9.3.3 [jailbreak]

Your location is an important piece of information, and sometimes apps ask for it. If you're somewhat of a privacy monger, then you might like to keep a lot of apps from acquiring your true location and logging information about you.

With a new jailbreak tweak called LocationHandle, you can actually spoof your location. This tweak works on iOS 9.3.3, unlike many other popular location-spoofing jailbreak tweaks, and we'll show you how it works in this review.

Rumor: Apple Watch 2 has GPS, is more waterproof and tracks swimming

A second generation Apple Watch is rumored to embed not only cellular connection for network connectivity without its paired iPhone, but also a dedicated GPS for accurate workout logging without the need to carry the handset. That's assuming you believe a sketchy report published this morning by 9to5Mac and credited to an anonymous source with unproven track record.

The same source also said that the Workout app on the Apple Watch 2 would gain the ability to track swimming.
