If you're anything like us, and if you're reading this you probably are, then you're the kind of person who likes to kick back with a coffee and enjoy a good Apple event in all its glory. That means on a big-screen TV, not hunched over a MacBook screen.

Now you can see the announcement of the iPad 3, sorry, new iPad, on a screen large enough to do it justice, with Apple now making the event available to download via iTunes.

That also means, dear friends, that you can also check the event out on your Apple TV. Like we did. Twice...

For those of us that weren't lucky enough to be at Apple's press event today, the Cupertino firm has just made the whole 'Let's Talk iPhone' event available online.

The video, all 90 minutes of it, can be streamed right now from Apple's web site, and we expect it to hit Apple's iTunes Podcast feed later today...

Ok folks, that WWDC 2011 keynote is here and available for your streaming pleasure. Two full hours of pure Lion, iOS 5, and iCloud goodness. This is assuming that you can get it to work because mine has just been hanging in there for 15 minutes.

Maybe Apple didn't get the memo about iCloud yet?

MyGreatFest Will Be The World’s First iDevice/Jailbreak Convention

MyGreatFest is going to be the world's first jailbreak and iCommunity convention. The event will take place on September 17, 2011 in London, UK.

The conference is still being organized, but the MyGreatFest team promises that their convention will be an educational and fun experience for any iDevice user. They already have the one and only Jay "saurik" Freeman confirmed as a keynote speaker for the convention (he invented jailbreaking). So, we know they mean business.

Apple’s New “Spiral UI” Patent Could Replace Cover Flow

Apple recently patented a new, spiral-based, graphical UI. Details on the patent reveal that the new "Spiral" interface is most likely intended to replace Cover Flow, an already existing interface in OS X and iOS. The design of the interface looks like it will work well with both standard and multi-touch displays, and will most likely be included in OS X Lion next summer.

The goal of this new interface is to display more information than was previously possible in a limited space. Like everything Apple does, another goal is to also make it as visually and aesthetically appealing as possible to the end user...

Google is Giving its Goggles to the iPhone

No this isn't a geeky tongue twister even though the title seems to have the makings of such. CNET reports an announcement made by a Google staff engineer at the Hot Chips Conference held at Stanford, about Google's Goggles app making its way to the iPhone. Turns out it is geared to hit the App Store later this year.

Engineer David Petrou delivered the good news in part of his keynote address in which he stated that pending approval from Apple, Goggles should be available in as little as 3 months time...
