This tweak lets you spoof your Status Bar’s carrier and signal information

When I first started jailbreaking many years ago, it seemed like tweaks for modifying the carrier details in the Status Bar were a hot commodity. Given just how much times have changed, you really don’t see tweaks like the classics anymore.

The new Signal jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Sniper_GER is a blast from the past, as it lets you spoof the Status Bar’s cellular information on any jailbroken device whether you have service or not.

This tweak disables the bothersome screenshot banners in several apps

A developing trend inside of App Store apps is to display an in-house notification banner anytime you snap a screenshot from within those apps. Although they’re supposed to make sharing things more accessible, some people don’t find the provided sharing options useful.

A whole host of recent jailbreak tweaks responded to these banners in apps like Instagram and Spotify, but a new free release called KillinAppsScreenshot by iOS developer CydiaGeek strives to become the ultimate all-in-one solution to disable these annoying banners in every one of your apps.

Maize, Translucency Infinity, and other jailbreak tweaks to check out this weekend

Although we still don’t have a jailbreak for iOS 11 yet as of this writing, developers continue to pump out jailbreak tweaks for iOS 10 devices that modify or augment the stock experience.

In this roundup, we’ll discuss every new jailbreak tweak released in Cydia during the past week. As usual, we’ll start by showcasing our favorites, but we’ll outline the rest of them afterward.

Maize officially released, brings iOS 11-inspired Control Center to jailbroken iOS 10 devices

Anyone wanting to make their jailbroken iOS 10 device look and feel more like an iOS 11 device shouldn’t leave the Creatix Dev Team’s Maize out of their collection. It’s the most in-depth port of the iOS 11 Control Center experience that we’ve witnessed to date.

We went in-depth with the newfangled jailbreak tweak just a few days ago, but we were toying with a pre-release at the time. Fortunately, the wait is now over, and you can officially download the tweak from Cydia starting today.

CCQuick Pro X turbocharges Control Center with a bevy of new features

If having an arsenal of quick shortcuts throughout iOS sounds good to you, then you should warm up to a jailbreak tweak release dubbed CCQuick Pro X for iOS10 by iOS developer Cunstuck pretty quickly.

Following installation, the tweak turbocharges Control Center with a slew of new features. Not only can you boost its visual appeal, but you can also upgrade the interface’s usability with additional shortcuts and toggles among other things.

This tweak eliminates the delay after pressing the Home button

There’s nearly a full second of delay after pressing your Home button before the app you’re in actually closes. Whether you love or hate the delay remains to be seen, but if you aren't fond of it, now there's something you can do about it.

Installing a new free jailbreak tweak called Accelerated Home Button by iOS developer Mehul Rao from Cydia virtually eliminates the delay effect, making access to your Home screen instantaneous after pressing the Home button.

Apple may kick off online sales of iPhone SE in India by October

Before making its long-expected offline retail presence in India, Apple may start selling the locally produced iPhone SE through its online store in the world's second most-populous country. According to a report Monday by the Economic Times, Apple may also sell locally sourced accessories via its online store.

However, the report states that the iPhone maker won't compete on price with online marketplaces for the items carried via its Indian online store. About half the iPhone models the Cupertino firm sells in the country are purchased online.

Leak: iPhone 8 manufacturing molds and another schematics sheet

Prolific leakster Benjamin Geskin today shared some new images on Twitter that appear to show CNC-milled manufacturing molds along with a technical diagram for Apple's upcoming iPhone 8. The images were obtained through SlashLeaks and, assuming genuine, probably taken by a factory worker. If anything, they serve as yet another indication that iPhone 8 will have vertically-stacked cameras and no Touch ID on the back.
