For the most part, Apple’s iPhone sports one of the best software keyboard experiences on the market today, but that certainly doesn’t mean that there isn’t room for improvement.

Those looking to augment their jailbroken iPhone’s typing experience are likely to enjoy a new jailbreak tweak release called Keyboard Plus by iOS developer Ryan Nair. As the tweak’s name implies, Keyboard Plus brings new features and improvements to the native keyboard experience, with the goal of making typing on your iPhone an even nicer experience than it is already.

Barmoji adds a dedicated Emoji bar to the wasted empty space of the iOS keyboard

If you like to use Emojis when you text people or send emails, then you may want to consider augmenting your iPhone’s typing abilities with a jailbreak tweak dubbed Barmoji by iOS developer CPDigitalDarkroom.

In a nutshell, Barmoji adds a quick access Emoji bar to your iPhone’s native keyboard interface. With it, you can more easily type Emojis when you’re composing messages or emails. The tweak also works in other apps due to its integration into the native keyboard, such as social media and text composition apps, among others.

RomanPad puts roman numerals on the numeric keypads in iOS

Roman numerals appear to be making a comeback in popularity, and for those who demand classiness from everything they touch, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Just last week, we showed you a jailbreak tweak that adjusted the Status Bar time to appear as roman numerals instead of standard numbers. But with a newly released and free add-on called RomanPad (Beta) by iOS developer Simalary, you can enjoy a similar experience on any number pad in iOS, including the passcode entry screen and the Phone app’s dial pad.

I’ve always been a proponent of keyboard-enhancing jailbreak tweaks for the iOS platform, and with that in mind, I’m particularly excited to share the news of a recent release dubbed iKeywi 4 (iOS 11~12) by iOS developer hiraku.

As you might’ve inferred already from the name, this isn’t the first iteration of the iKeywi tweak; it’s the fourth. Each new iteration has brought with it support for newer versions of iOS and introduced new features for users to enjoy, and this release is no different.

EasyKeyboardX replaces your keyboard’s Dictation button with other shortcuts

Some people use iOS’ Dictation feature more than others, but if you find yourself on the opposite side of the spectrum and not using it as much as you’d initially anticipated, then you just might benefit from a newly-released jailbreak tweak called EasyKeyboardX by iOS developer Soh Satoh.

EasyKeyboardX essentially replaces the Dictation key on the iOS keyboard with a configurable shortcut key instead. With it, you can either use the button to switch between your enabled keyboards more quickly, or you can enter a specific text string that you’d like to be able to paste into any text field in a jiffy.

Hapticker offers haptic feedback for most of what you do in iOS

Admittedly, I’m the type of person who enjoys an ounce of haptic feedback when operating my iPhone, and for that reason, I’m always testing out the latest haptic feedback-related jailbreak tweaks as they surface.

One of the newest add-ons in this department is one called Hapticker by iOS developer Soh Satoh, and from what we can gather, it provides haptic feedback for just about anything in iOS that you would ever want it for.

T9Dialer brings T9 dialing support to the iPhone’s native Phone app

T9 dialing was initially introduced as a means of making text input easier on 3x4 numeric keypads, much like those found on old cell phones. Modern smartphones with their phone number hot-linking and advanced contact lists have all but phased out the need for such things, but to those wishing they could access T9 in the iPhone’s native Phone app: you’re in luck.

T9Dialer is a somewhat new jailbreak tweak released by iOS developer Jordan Koch (eskimo_dev) that ports full T9 functionality to the numeric keypad in the iPhone’s native Phone app.

One of the weakest links in iOS’ native multitasking capabilities is the clipboard management system, and perhaps unsurprisingly, there’ve been a lot of jailbreak tweaks released in recent memory to address this problem, such as CopyLog and Copypasta to name a few.

As for those who favor the classics over newer and more lightweight releases, Pasithea 2 by iOS developer Cannathea can provide a more full-fledged clipboard-access experience, and with native keyboard integration at that.

SelectionPlus upgrades iOS’ cruddy text-selection interface

iOS’ native text selection menu is somewhat cumbersome to use, and so it should come as no surprise that jailbreakers have requested alternatives to it for eons. With that in mind, jailbreak tweak developer Satvik has come to the rescue with a new free release dubbed SelectionPlus.

As you might recall from the native text selection menu, users would need to tap and hold before releasing to invoke a column-oriented interface. A setup like this isn’t particularly useful on an iPhone because the handset’s display isn’t particularly wide, and it sometimes necessitates several taps to move between all the options.

ActionBar brings a modernized text-editing interface to the iOS keyboard

Among the options you’re presented with are “Cut,” “Copy,” and “Paste,” among others. This interface and the means of interaction hasn’t changed much over the years, and many would argue that it feels antiquated.

Given the circumstances, iOS developer RestiveConch has just released a new jailbreak tweak called ActionBar that breathes new life into the process of interacting with these actions by integrating them all into the keyboard interface itself, as shown above.
