Apple airs new ‘Romeo and Juliet’ ad showcasing the iPhone 7’s camera

Apple on Monday night posted a new iPhone 7 commercial it's calling 'Romeo and Juliet.' The ad, which aired during Monday Night Football, highlights the video recording capabilities of the company's latest handset.

The spot opens with two children acting out a scene from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. It looks very movie-esque, until the camera zooms out and you see a father sitting in the audience, recording the play on his iPhone.

iPhone 7 demand reportedly starts fading as iPhone 8 rumors continue picking up steam

Apple has enjoyed success with the new iPhone 7 family as the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus models saw strong demand, in some part due to Samsung's Note 7 debacle. But demand for latest iPhones may have started to fade recently, forcing Apple to cut back on orders, Taiwanese supply chain sources told trade publication DigiTimes.

That's especially true with the rumor-mill in high gear regarding next year's massive iPhone 8 upgrade and all the talk of the so-called Tenth Anniversary iPhone gaining all-glass, bezel-free industrial design and a wraparound OLED displays akin to that on the Galaxy S7 edge.

Review: the high quality leather cases from Nodus Collection

Nodus Collection, which I reviewed exactly one year ago, is back in-action with updates for iPhone 7 and their wallet collection. If you remember the article regarding the iPhone 6 versions, it was a gushingly positive exposé about their high quality leather, excellent craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

Be warned, this is another one of those glowing reviews. However with a Black Friday twist, you can nab one for yourself at 25% off, or donate the savings to ShelterBox, supporting relief in areas hit by natural disaster or global conflict.

Samsung should release an all-new glossy black version of Galaxy S7 in time for Christmas

Samsung is said to copy Apple, again, by adding a new “glossy” color option to the Galaxy S7 lineup next month that sounds a lot like the iPhone 7's Jet Black finish. According to The Korea Herald newspaper yesterday, Samsung is readying to release its own Jet Black Galaxy S7 in December to make up for lost sales stemming from Note 7's discontinuation.

The Korean firm reportedly saw success in recently bringing the Note 7's Coral Blue colorway to the Galaxy S7 lineup, joining the S7's existing glossy Onyx Black color option.

Here comes Apple’s holiday ad

Apple just aired a brand new holiday-themed television commercial through its channel on YouTube. Titled “Frankie’s Holiday,” the cinematic video runs two minutes long and depicts an unexpected holiday visitor who finally receives the “warm welcome he’s always yearned for.” The unexpected visitor is Frankenstein himself, who happens to be an iPhone 7 user.

The Christmas-themed upbeat commercial conveniently closes with a positive message which invites users to open their hearts to everyone.

Apple denies throttling LTE performance of Verizon iPhone 7

Bloomberg today shared research conducted by Twin Prime and Cellular Insights in a story suggestively headlined “Apple's Chip Choices May Leave Some iPhone Users in Slow Lane” which asserts Apple may have throttled LTE performance of the Verizon iPhone 7 handsets to make them perform about as well as the AT&T iPhone 7 models.

Apple in a statement shot down the report and denied throttling, insisting there's “no discernible difference” in wireless performance between various iPhone 7 models.
