The wallet case is a popular choice for iPhone owners, as it combines two things that you'd normally have to carry separately—your phone and wallet—into one easy-to-cary item. Thus, we thought it would be helpful if we put together a list of some great wallet cases for the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

As usual, we based our selections on factors like personal experience, price, and customer feedback. We also paid attention to design—we wanted a mix of slot and folio cases—and availability. Because the iPhone 7 was just released, a lot of case-makers don't have wallet options available yet.

Pegatron CEO and Piper Jaffray slam analysts who predicted poor iPhone 7 sales

The CEO of Pegatron, a Taiwanese contract manufacturer that assembles Apple handsets along with Foxconn, told Nikkei Asian Review he remained “cautiously optimistic” about iPhone 7 sales.

His comment targets a recent analyst report from KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo predicting fewer iPhone 7 sales in 2016 than the iPhone 6s garnered in 2015. Analyst firm Piper Jaffray, too, downplayed Kuo's negative report in an interview with AppleInsider, saying it's seeing similarities to the monster iPhone 6 upgrade cycle.

Top Apple analyst expects fewer iPhone 7 sales than iPhone 6s garnered in 2015

Despite Note 7 fires and carriers suggesting iPhone 7 sellouts, top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities isn't entirely convinced that strong consumer demand will offset slowing shipments. In a note to clients obtained by AppleInsider, Kuo predicted 70-75 million iPhone 7 sales in 2016—lower than that of the iPhone 6s in 2015.

Kuo cautions that strong iPhone 7 sales are not “not entirely due to market demand” because carrier promotions inflated sales numbers and a larger amount of launch countries led to depleted inventories worldwide.

How to adjust iPhone Home button “clicks”

The iPhone 7 came with a shiny new Home button to take advantage of built-in pressure sensors and an enhanced Taptic Engine to detect and simulate clicks. Because the button no longer uses any moving parts, you’re less likely to break it. A new “Meet the new Home button” section in the iOS installer allows you to “make your iPhone experience even more personal by choosing the click that’s right for you”.

Reports of iPhone 7 Home button and camera lens not covered in sapphire are false

I've seen a few reports on the web claiming that the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus do not use sapphire crystal to protect the Touch ID sensor on the non-moving Home button and the camera lens. It would make sense for everybody to stop worrying because these reports are simply not true.

According to Apple's marketing boss Phil Schiller on Twitter, both new iPhone models use sapphire protection for the Home button and camera lens, just like before.
