Urban Armor Gear case for iPhone 6s protects and serves

Most of us have had that dreaded moment when our iPhone slips out of our hands and goes flying across the room, crash-landing on the ground. If we're lucky, the worst damage is a small ding on one of the corners. But, we're not usually that lucky.

Urban Armor Gear makes a rugged case for the iPhone 6s with high-level drop protection and reinforced corners for added safety when trying to avoid the unavoidable.

Alpatronix BX140 iPhone 6s battery case is thin and powerful

Around the holidays, we find ourselves using our tech gadgets even more than normal. Whether we are taking photos and videos of the kids, trying to find Aunt Linda's new house with Google Maps, or simply trying to pretend we are somewhere else while Cousin Bob repeats that same story about the time he hand-fed a squirrel for the fifth time, our iPhones are getting a workout. Which also means our batteries are getting a workout, too.

The Alpatronix BX140 is an iPhone 6s case with a 3100 mAh battery pack that will juice up your device while you are on the go. It is fairly thin, as battery cases go, and comes with a separate bumper cover, so you don't have to keep the charger case on all of the time.

Apple posts new “Hey Siri” and “Ridiculously Powerful” iPhone 6s adverts

Apple has posted two new advertisements on its YouTube channel to highlight features found on the iPhone 6s. The first spot, entitled "Hey Siri", is a 30-second clip aimed at showcasing the revamped hands-free voice assistant functionality. The second spot, entitled "Ridiculously Powerful", is a longer 1-minute ad that shows off the speed and power of Apple's latest flagship phone.

Both new spots can be found over at Apple's YouTube channel, or you can continue reading to check out the embeds. What are your thoughts on the ads? Do you find them effective?

These hacks enable custom Apple Watch faces and 3D Touch gestures on iPad Pro via Apple Pencil

watchOS 2, the operating system powering Apple's wearable gizmo, includes support for third-party complications on select watch faces designed to support them.

But as far as watch faces themselves go, users are limited to a handful of built-in styles as Apple's software development kit (SDK) doesn't allow for downloadable watch faces yet.

As it turns out, a quick hack that prolific iOS developer Hamza Sood posted on Twitter back in August (no, it didn't fly under our radar) gets around Apple's limitations and permits unofficial development and installation of custom faces for Apple's wearable device.

And earlier this morning, Sood also posted another hack which brings 3D Touch Peek and Pop gestures to the iPad Pro via the Apple Pencil's pressure sensing technology.

Additionally, scoped folder search for personal OneDrive accounts is now back by popular demand and business users will appreciate support for Microsoft's Intone mobile app management service.
