The iPhone 6s will reportedly feature a deeper version of Force Touch called 3D Touch

At this point, it's pretty much a given that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will feature some type of Force Touch implementation. Rumors have been going around, analysts have hinted to it, code has been discovered, and parts have leaked out that hint to the inclusion of the new technology.

What hasn't been as clear is how the adaption of Force Touch will work on a device like an iPhone. For the Apple Watch, Force Touch was pretty much a necessity given that device's diminutive size and limited input options. For the iPhone, a device with way more screen real estate, the implementation of Force Touch can potentially take on many angles.

Earlier Today, 9to5Mac's well-connected blogger Mark Gurman provided some additional details on what to expect from Apple's first usage of Force Touch in its primary money maker. Apparently, Force Touch will actually be branded as the 3D Touch Display, and will include not just two levels of pressure sensitivity—but three.

Earlier in the week, 9to5Mac corroborated analyst and supply chain reports that Apple's upcoming 'iPhone 6s' and 'iPhone 6s Plus' smartphones will also bring major improvements to the front-facing FaceTime camera which should go from a paltry 1.3 megapixels on current iPhones to five megapixels.

Today, the blog said that the FaceTime camera on upcoming iPhones will feature support for selfie panoramas and slow-motion video capture. The report added that Apple is working on a keyboard accessory for an 'iPad Pro' and offered a few more tidbits regarding Apple's announcements come this Wednesday.

Apple's 'iPhone 6s' and 'iPhone 6s Plus' may have entered volume production one to two weeks later than originally expected, but the Cupertino firm is now asking component suppliers to increase their output ahead of next Wednesday's unveiling.

A new report Thursday by Reuters alleges that increased orders might serve as a confirmation of Apple’s faith in the new handsets. The report cites Japan Display CEO Mitsuru Homma, who said that his company's “biggest client” is “coming to us with more orders, saying ‘give us more, give us more’.

The publication learned from sources that the forthcoming presentation is set to be one of largest events in Apple's history. In addition to the iPad Pro and the iPhone 6s/6s Plus, it should serve as a launchpad for a fourth-generation iPad mini, a substantially refreshed Apple TV set top box and new Apple Watch Sport bands.
