It's iPad upgrade time, but if you'd rather move your old iPad on before stumping up the cash for a brand new one, then eBay may be the place to check out.

As part of its Instant Sale system, eBay is currently offering some surprisingly competitive prices for the iPad 2, with potential sellers not having to wait for a lengthy auction process to complete before knowing a sale is guaranteed.

Depending on your particular flavor of iPad 2, you could be looking to receive anything between $290 and $475 via Paypal, assuming your device is in good condition...

Verizon to offer $20 1GB data plan for 4G iPad with free hotspot support

There was certainly some confusion earlier today regarding what the carriers' plans are for the new iPad's hotspot feature. The tablet, for the first time, will be compatible with high-speed LTE networks. And it will be to share the connection with up to 5 other devices.

As of right now, AT&T, one of the largest carriers in the US, has no idea when or if it will support the feature. But Verizon, on the other hand, has confirmed that its four data plans, starting at $20 per month, will all include free hotspot support...

How to easily track your new iPad and Apple TV order

It's that time of the year again. We're all waiting on pins and needles until March 16th when the new iPad is officially available to the public.

As Cult of Mac's Killian Bell points out, Apple's own Apple Store app is a great way keep tabs on your new iPad and/or new Apple TV shipment.

It's not going to make your new iPad hit your doorstep any faster, but it's a nifty way to ease some of the anxiety of waiting...

iPad and Apple TV shipping estimates begin slipping

Yesterday, Apple announced its new iPad and Apple TV at a media event in California. Later that afternoon, both products went up for pre-order on Apple's Online Store. Apple said at the time both products would begin shipping to customers on March 16th. However, due to the excitement over both products, shipping times for both the Apple TV and iPad have slipped, as noted by 9to5mac.

Some models of the iPad have slipped back to March 19th, while the Apple TV has slipped back even further -- now delivering in roughly "1 -2 weeks" for customers that are just pre-ordering...

New iPad packs 1GB of RAM, not that Apple will tell you that

If there's one thing that's guaranteed about an Apple hardware release these days, it's that all of us are going to wonder just what innards are hidden beneath that oh-so-gorgeous exterior.

The new iPad is no different, and while the rumors suggest that the new tablet will sport a considerable chunk of RAM, 1GB to be exact, it's not likely that Apple will be sharing the fact any time soon.

In fact, we doubt they'll ever share the iPad's amount of RAM with us mere mortals...

Neither AT&T nor Verizon supporting 4G iPad hotspot yet [Updated]

Among the slew of new features Apple announced in its latest iPad yesterday was the personal hotspot. Just like with the iPhone, you'll be able to use the new tablet to share an internet connection with up to 5 devices.

This becomes even more appealing when you consider that the new slate is capable of 4G speeds — which is up to 10 times faster than 3G. But don't get too excited. It appears that there is confusion among the carriers...

Watch the iPad 3 event in iTunes, or on your Apple TV now

If you're anything like us, and if you're reading this you probably are, then you're the kind of person who likes to kick back with a coffee and enjoy a good Apple event in all its glory. That means on a big-screen TV, not hunched over a MacBook screen.

Now you can see the announcement of the iPad 3, sorry, new iPad, on a screen large enough to do it justice, with Apple now making the event available to download via iTunes.

That also means, dear friends, that you can also check the event out on your Apple TV. Like we did. Twice...

Check out these photos taken with the new iPad

The new iPad features a new camera system from Apple, who detailed the new camera at its media event that took place today. The iPad features a 5-megapixel camera, which includes advanced optics, auto-focus, and white balance. The upgraded iSight camera also features 1080p video recording.

While we're going to have to wait until March 16th to take our own photos with the iPad's camera, Apple has posted sample photos (and video) taken with the new iPad on its website. And of course, the photos look stunning...

Well, the fireworks are over, but the fun stuff is just beginning. Like always, Apple has posted the very first TV spot for their new product on their website, and it promotes the iPad's most compelling new feature.

Indeed, the Retina display plays front man in Apple's new TV spot, as it should; it looks stunning. I think they did a really good job of showing off how incredible the display looks.

Everything you need to know about today’s iPad event

Apple's iPad event ended three hours ago, and things are just now starting to quiet down. As most of you know, today was a big day for the Cupertino company, who made a number of big announcements.

AT&T and Verizon data plans for LTE iPad revealed

Apple's online store is slowly creeping back online, and as we go to purchase the new iPad, AT&T and Verizon's LTE data plans for the LTE iPad have been revealed. Nothing has changed from the old 3G data options. Both carriers are still offering similar pricing, but have different options available.

AT&T is offering the lowest amount of data, offering only 250MB per month for $14.99, while Verizon offers the highest of 10GB per month for $80...
