The romance between AltStore PAL and Epic Games only continues to deepen this week following Epic Games’ MegaGrant to the AltStore team ahead of the company’s plans to host its popular Fortnite mobile game on the platform.
Sideloading apps has become a popular pastime for iPhone & iPad owners because it allows them to install apps that are otherwise restricted from being distributed on the App Store. Unfortunately, installing apps in this manner can be a double-edged sword because you’re limited to sideloading a certain number of apps with a free Apple developer account.
In a post shared to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the AltStore team announced that it had released an update to the AltStore PAL alternate App Store in the form of version 2.1.1.
Delta, perhaps the most well-known and easily recognized retro console emulator app for the iOS & iPadOS platforms that first made its debut into the App Store back in April following an App Store policy change, has received another update on Wednesday, this time bringing the app up to version 1.6.2.

The Delta emulator app for the iPhone and iPad picked up another update this week, officially bringing it up to version 1.6.1. The update comes just under two weeks after Delta added official iPadOS optimizations and a bevy of other enhancements that have been on users’ radars for some time.
