Why deal with an ugly and obtrusive volume HUD on your iOS devices when you don't have to?
If you have a jailbreak, there are tons of jailbreak tweaks you can use to relocate the volume HUD to the Status Bar. But perhaps one of my favorites as of late is one called StatusbarVolume.
It was only a few days ago that we showed you a tweak called Vettr, which displayed a nice and simplistic time and battery interface on your display whenever you had your iPhone plugged into a power source.
But now, a new jailbreak tweak called Volt is challenging Vettr head-on with a number of features that you can customize to your liking. We'll show you what Volt is all about in this review.
iOS 9 made some UI refinements over iOS 8, despite the fact that most of the UI looks primarily the same as before. One of the things Apple tweaked were the alerts that can pop up on your screen from notifications.

Many of you are probably familiar with the stock function of iOS that lets you restrict apps from having access to your cellular network, but iOS doesn't have a similar feature for restricting apps from utilizing Wi-Fi.
With a new jailbreak tweak dubbed ConditionalWiFi, you can now restrict any of your iOS apps from having access to the internet when you're connected to a Wi-Fi network, rather than a cellular one.
A new jailbreak tweak called Force Touch Activator was recently released on Cydia's BigBoss repo, and it lets users on older hardware running iOS 8 mimic the 3D Touch effect that's headlining the launch of the iPhone 6s.
Real 3D Touch requires a pressure sensitive screen, which is a part of the new hardware found in the new iPhone 6s. Older hardware, like the iPhone 6, lacks the pressure sensitive screen, so jailbreak tweak developers have to look for unique ways to try to bring similar functionality to older devices.
I'll be honest and say that Force Touch Activator is pretty much nothing like 3D Touch—you don't have the nuanced sensitivity levels, you don't have haptic feedback, and most importantly, you lack a true pressure sensitive screen—but it's an interesting tweak for jailbreakers to try nonetheless. There have been tons of App Switcher tweaks to land on Cydia over the years, but this is certainly one of the more unique looking ones to appear in quite some time. Entitled Switch 2, this upcoming jailbreak tweak brings an expanding-card interface to the iOS App Switcher.
Switch 2's interface makes it so that you can view up to three apps at the same time, and dismiss apps using simple swipe gestures. Convergence developer, Matt Clarke, has put together a video preview of Switch2 in action. Check it out and let us know what you think about it.
Now that the iOS 8.4 jailbreak is out, I thought I'd create a new "Perfect Jailbroken iPhone" post for you. If you can remember, I started this series a very long time ago, and it has remained popular until this day.
Lots of people want to know what makes a perfect jailbroken iPhone. Do you need the perfect jailbreak tweaks to make a perfect iPhone? Not necessarily.
And just because a tweak or app makes this list, doesn't means it's my absolute favorite, or that I even use it everyday. The perfect jailbroken iPhone does not equal my favorite jailbroken iPhone.
The name of the game here is practicality, usefulness, and improvement. With these tweaks + 1 theme for good measure, I put together an all star phone capable of doing very much.

iOS 9 has some significant new power saving features that will lend users up to an additional three hours of battery life. Dubbed Low Power Mode in iOS 9, users can eek out up to an extra 3 hours of battery life with the option enabled.
Low Power Mode works by disabling animated wallpapers, Mail Fetch, Background App Refresh, motion effects, and, as recently discovered, throttling the CPU.
Power Saver Mode, a new iOS tweak developed by Elijah Frederickson, tries its best to provide many of the same benefits to jailbroken iPhone users on iOS 8. Power Saver Mode increases contrast, enables Reduce Motion, disables Background App Refresh, location services, Cellular Data when on Wi-Fi, and more.
If you regularly use the emoji keyboard on iOS, then you've no doubt experienced the issue that causes your keyboard to revert to another input method.
This problem generally arrises when doing one of two things: after tapping send in a chat app like the Messages app, and on first keyboard activation when the current input mode is emoji.

It seems like every few months, Elias Limneos steps up to the plate to bring us something awesome. Even during a "jailbreak drought", such as the one we're currently experiencing, Limneos doesn't hesitate to put out a great release.
AquaBoard for iOS 8 is the latest such release, and it is a follow up to previous versions of AquaBoard for iOS 5, iOS 6 and iOS 7. Needless to say, AquaBoard has been around for quite some time, and now, even first time jailbreakers get to taste (or is that drink?) the goodness that is AquaBoard.
Now that his work on Auxo seems to be finished, perhaps this means that we will begin seeing more frequent releases from Ryan Petrich? It doesn’t appear that he’s wasting any time, as Cask, a new jailbreak tweak, just recently appeared on his beta repo.
