Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney demand Ted Lasso’s delicious biscuits in compensation following joke about ownership of Wrexham AFC

Ted Lasso can be described in a lot of different ways, like the fact the Apple TV+ series is aggressively optimistic. Which means to say that while there are plenty of jokes thrown around in the writing, nothing about the show is particularly "scathing." Especially not when it comes to real-world celebrities -- or the football clubs they might own. But apparently the comedy crossed the line in a recent episode, and now Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Free Guy) and Rob McElhenney (Mythic Quest, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are looking for compensation.

Hank Azaria is going to play Tim Cook in a series about Uber called ‘Super Pumped’, but not on Apple TV+

The majority of TV-related announcements that get covered here at iDB relate to Apple's effort, Apple TV+. However, sometimes there's an Apple-related announcement that's attached to a different streaming service altogether. Today, for instance, we hear that a legendary actor is going to play Apple's current CEO, Tim Cook, in an upcoming show on Showtime.

‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series’ is making the drive over to Apple TV+ as it gets renewed for a fifth season

There is a lot of attention put on Apple TV+ these days as far as rewards are concerned. Every time one of the streaming service's entries gets nominated, Apple makes a pretty big deal about it. Especially about the wins. What's kind of crazy is remembering that it was Carpool Karaoke: The Series that landed the streaming service its first Primetime Emmy Award way back in 2018. But, of course, we've got Ted Lasso raking in the awards now, so forgetting that little tidbit isn't too surprising.

Apple TV+ presents reactions from real-life CODAs on the premiere date of the new film ‘CODA’

CODA is the newest film for Apple TV+. Apple acquired it straight out of the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, where it won a variety of different awards and plenty of critical acclaim. It's one of the more interesting film releases for the streaming platform to date. Which is why it's a little frustrating to see it arrive on the streaming service without much fanfare at all.

Apple TV+ film ‘Finch’ starring Tom Hanks sets premiere date for November 5

Earlier this year, it was reported that Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump) would star in another film heading to Apple TV+ after starring in the World War II drama Greyhound. We learned the film was called Finch, and that Apple had outbid a variety of different companies to secure the streaming rights. Unfortunately, at the time, we didn't know when it would actually start streaming.

Vince Vaughn will star in new Apple TV+ drama series ‘Bad Monkey’ from writer Bill Lawrence

Another day, another new addition coming soon to Apple TV+. This time around its a new drama series, of which there are many on Apple's video streaming service.

Today, Apple TV+ announced that it has given a straight-to-series order for a new show entitled Bad Monkey.
