Earlier this month, Apple confirmed that its fall lineup slate for Apple TV+ would consist of at least three new family -friendly series, created mostly for kids. We got a trailer for one of the upcoming shows at the time, and now we get a look at the other two.
Today, Apple TV+ has shared the trailers for both Puppy Place and Get Rolling With Otis. The former of the pair is based on a Scholastic best-seller of the same name, which was written by Ellen Miles. The series is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 15, 2021. It's a scripted series, where people try to find "fur-ever" homes for puppies that need them.
The Apple TV+ comedy lineup is expanding soon with a new satirical news show from comedian Jony Stewart that will focus on current affairs. Ahead of the show's premiere next Thursday, Stewart has revealed additional tidbits about the project.

Some of the projects coming to Apple TV+ have a quick turnaround time from initial announcement to release date. For example, it was only in May of this year when we first heard about the upcoming sci-fi drama Finch, set to star Tom Hanks (Castaway, Greyhound). By the time August rolled around we even knew when we'd get to watch it via Apple's original streaming service. And now we have the first official trailer.

It was described as a "genre-bending drama" at the time, but, unfortunately, there wasn't much else to go on. Certainly not a release date. But that's changing today.

There are some who believe Apple TV+ is just a service that exists to get people to sign up for other Apple products, or get Apple hardware. Basically, a service that simply only exists to get people in the Apple-branded seats. But it turns out Apple has bigger plans than that.
Apple TV+ has a bit of a different timing slate than some other streaming services, and definitely different than traditional TV. But even Apple wants to make sure it has something new for the fall season. In this case, it looks like a trio of kid- and family-friendly shows will help spice things up.
One of the things Apple TV+ needs is a library of content, which will help keep people subscribed to the service when they run out of new Ted Lasso episodes to watch. Which is why, normally, you won't see any of the films or TV series get a physical release. But it looks like On the Rocks, which stars Rashida Jones and Bill Murray, is going that route anyway.
