The recent launch of the checkm8 bootrom exploit for A5-A11 devices certainly piqued the interest of many, and perhaps a lot more than some people would like.

Electra Team lead developer CoolStar took to Discord over the weekend to announce that he would be shifting focus away from A12(X) jailbreak development on iOS 12.1.3 and later and more toward experimenting with and developing around the checkm8 exploit:

The Electra Team posted an updated version of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool this week with a focus on jailbreak reliability on older handsets. The latest update brings the Chimera jailbreak tool up to version 1.3.9.

The Electra Team announced the launch of Chimera v1.3.9 via Twitter late last night, noting that it touts a more robust version of the Sock Puppet 3 exploit:

Sileo v1.5.0 beta 1 now available for testing with 2x speed boost and dark mode

The Sileo Team took to the @GetSileo Twitter account early Thursday morning to tease the imminent release of an updated beta version of the Sileo package manager with more than twice the speed performance of the latest public release.

As of just an hour ago, that beta version is now available for testers. Those using the Electra Team’s Chimera or Electra jailbreaks are free to download Sileo Beta v1.5.0 beta 1 from the default repository on each jailbreak:

Sileo Team launches Sileo v1.4.2 beta 1 with native dark mode support

Just a few hours ago, the Sileo Team teased a gorgeous set of screenshots depicting what appeared to be an iOS 13-like dark mode for the Sileo package manager. The Sileo Team didn’t say when it would be getting released, but that small detail doesn’t seem to be all that important anymore.

Just within the past hour, the Sileo Team released Sileo v1.4.2 beta 1. It was announced via the official @GetSileo Twitter page, and from what we can tell, this is the first iteration of the proprietary package manager to support a native dark mode feature:

Sileo Team teases upcoming update for Sileo with dark mode support

Just minutes after Pwn20wnd released the most substantial stability and reliability update ever for the unc0ver jailbreak, the Sileo Team teased what appears to be an upcoming update for the Sileo package manager with a drop-dead gorgeous dark mode user interface that appears to be heavily inspired by Apple’s upcoming iOS 13 software update.

The Sileo Team shared the images above via the official @GetSileo Twitter page just minutes ago, adding that it would be ‘coming soon:’

Just yesterday, the Electra Team released v1.3.7 of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool with extended nonce generator support on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4, but the Electra Team is out with another update on Wednesday, officially bringing Chimera up to version 1.3.8.

The Electra Team announced the latest update Wednesday morning via the team’s official Twitter page, and from what we can gather, this update, much like the last, improves the setting of nonces on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4:

Sileo v1.4.0 brings speed boosts, adds more support for Swift & native depictions

The Sileo Team released an updated version of the Sileo package manager late Tuesday evening with a plethora of improvements, officially bringing the Chimera and Electra jailbreak-centric package manager to version 1.4.0 in the process.

The Sileo Team announced the update via the official @GetSileo Twitter page, and from what we can gather, this is a particularly ‘big’ update for users and repositories alike:

The Electra Team has dropped an updated version of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool on Tuesday, bringing the public release up to version 1.3.7.

Citing the official announcement, which was shared early this morning via the Electra Team’s official Twitter account, this update implements support for getting and setting nonce generator on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.2 and 12.4:

Sileo Beta v1.3.6 now available with improved native depiction support

The Sileo Team surprised us all on Wednesday with a new beta iteration of the package manager that gets installed by default on iOS 11 and 12 devices liberated with the Electra Team’s Chimera and Electra jailbreaks.

Citing the Sileo Team’s announcement, shared via Twitter several minutes ago, Sileo Beta v1.3.6 simplifies the process of converting webview-based jailbreak tweak depictions to native depictions.

CoolStar teases Chimera compatibility for A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4

If you’re on iOS 12, then there are two primary jailbreaks you can choose from: Chimera by the Electra Team or unc0ver by Pwn20wnd. Both jailbreaks are neck-and-neck with device and software compatibility, but since iOS 12.4 first became jailbroken, both parties have been hard at work to implement support for A12(X) devices.

The unc0ver jailbreak only “partially” supports A12(X) devices at the time of this writing, and full support is coming sometime in the near future, including those running iOS 12.4. Chimera, on the other hand, has lacked A12(X) support on iOS 12.1.3-12.3 (beta) and 12.4 since v1.3.0 first launched, and still lacks it to this day.
