Awesome NES Game Controller Concept for the iPhone

If the current batch of iPhone gaming accessories just aren't doing it for you, perhaps this one will. This two-piece iPhone attachment essentially morphs your handset into a game controller that'll remind you of the good old days.

But there's more than nostalgia here. The NES-inspired controller actually looks like it could be the gaming add-on we've been waiting for. And although it's still in the concept stage, the creator is working on bringing this thing to life...

Here’s a Steve Jobs-Inspired iPhone SJ Concept

Antonio De Rosa has come up with yet another awesome iPhone concept, a handset he called the iPhone SJ because it was inspired by the late Steve Jobs.

Shown off in all its glory at De Rosa's ADR Studio website, the concept takes the existing iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S body and reinvents it, creating a gorgeous concept that even Jony Ive himself would be pleased to call his own.

While the specs are not the biggest thing here, De Rosa speculates that the concept could come packed with a dual-core A6 chip and a 10 megapixel camera. That's probably not too far from what we would expect Apple to put inside the iPhone 5...

iOS Concept Designer Jan-Michael Cart Announces Apple Internship

If the name Jan-Michael Cart sounds familiar, it's because you've likely seen his work here on iDB. The 20-something mass media arts student from Georgia has practically become an overnight sensation thanks to his popular concept videos.

Cart has re-imagined several components of iOS such as application switching, notifications, and voice recognition. A lot of folks have commented that his work is good enough to earn him a spot at Apple. And, apparently, Apple agrees.

Simple Concept Gesture For Multitasking on the iPhone is Brilliant

Sometimes we see a concept video and think, "Wow, why hasn't Apple done this?" Such is the case with a simple multitasking gesture concept by UI designer Max Rudberg.

While the iPad offers multiple enhanced gestures for navigating through iOS, including 4-finger swipes and pinch moves, the iPhone still lacks basic gesture support that would make navigating so much easier. Rudberg's concept takes a very simple approach to reinventing the way we access the multitasking bar in iOS 5 on our iPhones.

Beautiful Concept of an iPhone Camera

According to some excerpts from Steve Jobs' recently released biography, the ex-CEO wanted to "reinvent" three markets: television, text books, and photography. The first is still a rumor, the second is happening as we speak, and the third is still up for discussion.

Looking at the image upload data from Flickr shows that the top four most popular cameraphones are iPhones, and the most popular camera overall is the iPhone 4. So is this what Jobs was talking about? Or did he want to build an actual camera, like this one?

AT&T Concept Store Uses iPhones and iPads to Checkout Customers

With Apple proving that technology companies can indeed make the jump from the drawing board to the street, everyone else is taking a page out of the Cupertino playbook and offering their products directly to customers.

One of those companies is AT&T, one of North America's largest cell phone carriers. Despite already having their own stores across the country, AT&T's top brass clearly know that things can be improved when it comes to customer experience in-store.

With an eye on pushing its stores to a whole new level, AT&T is set to open a new concept store in Chicago, and at 10,000 square feet, it's their biggest yet...

A Concept Design of What an Apple TV Set Could Look Like

Over the past couple of weeks, speculation around an Apple-flavored TV set has dramatically amplified. Between Steve Jobs' "I cracked it" comment and a TV market that seems ripe for the picking, the time feels right for Apple to move in.

Word on the street is that the company is so serious about entering the television space that it already has a working prototype of a TV set. Obviously we won't get to see the product until it's finished, but we can look at this gorgeous concept...

A Preview of How Apple’s Top Secret Assistant Feature Could Work on the Next iPhone

If you haven't figured it out by now, there's more to iOS 5 than meets the eye. Since the new software was unveiled in June, Apple has been holding some of its best features close to the vest as it fine-tunes them to perfection.

One of those top secret features is a system-wide utility known as Assistant. The voice-activated digital concierge can do anything from sending text messages to performing internet searches. Want to see how it could work?

Beautiful Physical Mockup of the iPhone 5 Made with Real Aluminum

At this point, there are few things we know for sure about the iPhone 5. But what we can assume from the recent rumors and leaked info is that the device might very well be thinner, and sport a larger screen.

Confident that those rumored specs were likely to make it to the iPhone 5, MacRumors made some very convincing renderings of the future device awhile back. Today, German site Giga.de pushes it farther, with a physical mockup prototype of the iPhone 5...

Here’s What the iPhone 4S Could Look Like

Between all the reports and case leaks we've seen over the last several months, we have a pretty good idea of what the iPhone 5 looks like. The tear drop design, with the capacitive home button, has been documented by several sources.

But with more and more rumors pointing to the Cupertino company only unveiling one handset this Fall, the iPhone 4S, a lot of folks are wondering what to expect. As usual, graphic design artists have used their skills to help us predict the future...

Multitasking Concept for the iPad Shows that iOS Still Doesn’t Have it Right

After we spent years begging Apple to finally add multitasking to iOS, the boffins in Cupertino relented, bringing the joys of multiple running apps to our iPhones and iPads. Well, sort of.

Apple's implementation has many-a-geek arguing over whether it really is multitasking. Once you get past that little hiccup, it works surprisingly well. But could it be better?

The launch of iOS multitasking hasn't stopped the creative types from showing us how they think multiple apps should be handled, and a new video caught our eye today, and we're rather impressed...

Beautiful iPhone 5 Renders Look More Like iPhone Nano

Until then, our appetites can be temporarily satisfied with beautiful artist renders of potential iPhone 5 designs. This one is no different, expect that it depicts what looks to be more like an iPhone Nano than iPhone 5...
