Just yesterday, the Electra Team released v1.3.7 of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool with extended nonce generator support on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4, but the Electra Team is out with another update on Wednesday, officially bringing Chimera up to version 1.3.8.

The Electra Team announced the latest update Wednesday morning via the team’s official Twitter page, and from what we can gather, this update, much like the last, improves the setting of nonces on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4:

Jailbreak tweaks of the week: AOD, Carabiner, SwitchShades, and more

It’s a great time to be an active participant in the jailbreak community – not only because you can jailbreak iOS 12.4, Apple’s latest non-beta public mobile operating system, but also because A12(X) support with Cydia is just around the corner.

That said, if you’re jailbroken and you’re looking for ways to trick out your handset, then you’ll definitely want to check out this roundup. Below, we’ll discuss our favorite jailbreak tweak releases this weak and then outline the rest afterward.

Sileo Beta v1.3.6 now available with improved native depiction support

The Sileo Team surprised us all on Wednesday with a new beta iteration of the package manager that gets installed by default on iOS 11 and 12 devices liberated with the Electra Team’s Chimera and Electra jailbreaks.

Citing the Sileo Team’s announcement, shared via Twitter several minutes ago, Sileo Beta v1.3.6 simplifies the process of converting webview-based jailbreak tweak depictions to native depictions.

CoolStar teases Chimera compatibility for A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4

If you’re on iOS 12, then there are two primary jailbreaks you can choose from: Chimera by the Electra Team or unc0ver by Pwn20wnd. Both jailbreaks are neck-and-neck with device and software compatibility, but since iOS 12.4 first became jailbroken, both parties have been hard at work to implement support for A12(X) devices.

The unc0ver jailbreak only “partially” supports A12(X) devices at the time of this writing, and full support is coming sometime in the near future, including those running iOS 12.4. Chimera, on the other hand, has lacked A12(X) support on iOS 12.1.3-12.3 (beta) and 12.4 since v1.3.0 first launched, and still lacks it to this day.

Last chance to downgrade to iOS 12.4 for jailbreak eligibility

It was only within the past couple of weeks that Pwn20wnd and the Electra Team updated the unc0ver and Chimera jailbreak tools with support for iOS 12.4 by way of an updated Sock Puppet exploit, and while it was the first time in a long while that the latest version of iOS could be jailbroken, all fun things must, unfortunately, come to an end…

Apple released iOS 12.4.1 to the general public on Monday with bug fixes and security enhancements, one of which tended to the updated Sock Puppet exploit that Apple initially patched in iOS 12.3 and then inadvertently un-patched again in iOS 12.4.

The best jailbreak tweaks for iOS 12

With the public release of iOS 13 right around the corner, the iOS 12 jailbreak is set to climax very soon as security researchers shift their efforts toward the newer firmware. With that in mind, we thought we’d take this wonderful opportunity to reflect on the past year with a roundup of some of the best jailbreak tweaks ever released for pwned iOS 12 devices.

If you’re jailbroken on iOS 12 with Chimera by the Electra Team or unc0ver by Pwn20wnd, then this roundup is for you. For ease of reading, we’ll sort the following jailbreak tweaks by alphabetical order.

Sileo v1.3.5 released with fix for endless repository refresh bug

The Sileo Team launched an updated version of the Sileo package manager for the iOS 11-centric Electra jailbreak and the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak Sunday evening, officially bringing the proprietary package manager up to version 1.3.5.

The Sileo Team announced the update via Twitter just within the past hour, noting that it would resolve an issue with repositories refreshing endlessly:
