If the sheer number of products that got refreshed yesterday is anything to go by, Wednesday was supposed to be a major Apple event, only there was no event at all because the new iPad Pro and MacBook Air were announced via a pair of unexpected press releases. But that's not everything that was unveiled yesterday. As part of yesterday's product releases, the Cupertino giant also debuted some refreshed iPhone cases and spring-themed Apple Watch bands.

I’ve owned Apple’s original AirPods since the day they were first released. Given just how much I liked my experience with them, I was quick to order the AirPods Pro when they launched last year with active noise cancellation and other perks.

Nowadays, I take either my AirPods or my AirPods Pro with me almost everywhere I go so that I have quick access to headphones whenever the need arises, but I’ve never liked carrying a scratch-prone white plastic case without some form of protection on it. To fill that requirement, I rely on Nomad’s Horween leather cases for the AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Apple’s brand-new iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max handsets are beautiful – both to the eyes and to the touch – but all it takes is one good drop to put an end to that seemingly short-lived appreciation. That’s why I always use a case.

Given just how many case options there are on the market today, both from no name manufacturers and from well recognized brands, it seemed like a wonderful opportunity to go over some of my favorite cases that I’ve enjoyed using since splurging on the smaller iPhone 11 Pro this Fall.
