Rumor: Apple TV Set Already in the Hands of Canadian ISPs

So this is pretty interesting. The Globe and Mail, Canada's largest newspaper, is reporting this evening that Apple is actively looking for Canadian launch partners for its rumored television set.

The report claims that the Cupertino company has recently approached both Rogers and Bell, two major Canadian carriers, about the product, and that the two operators already have the TV in their possession...

As is the case with any desirable piece of technology, the iPad has been the unfortunate subject of more than a few scams in its time, and a new one has come to light in Canada recently.

According to reports, some unlucky buyers have picked up new iPad 2 units from some Best Buy, Future Shop, Walmart and London Drugs stores only to find that the boxes do not actually contain iPads as expected, but rather a giant grey slab of modelling clay.

Canada to Get Unlocked iPhone 4 Starting at $637

BGR reports today that unlocked iPhone 4s will be available for purchase in Canada when the device launches there this friday.

According to CBC news, pricing for the unlocked version of the iPhone 4 will start at $659 — for the lower capacity 16 GB version — and climb up to $779 for the 32 GB version.

These prices are in Canadian dollars. The conversion in US dollars is $637 for the 16 GB version and $753 for the 32 GB version

When I think my iPhone 4 cost me $742.69, it hurts to realize I could have had an officially unlocked iPhone for just about $10 more...
