Sn0wBreeze updated with bug fixes and Apple TV support

A few days ago, iH8sn0w released v2.9.2 of his popular jailbreak tool, Sn0wBreeze. The update added the ability for users to jailbreak their iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1 (yes, it's still tethered).

Then last night, the hacker seeded another version of the software, bringing it to v2.9.3. This update includes a minor bug fix, but also features new jailbreak support for Apple TV's on iOS 4.4.3 and 4.4.4...

Apple releases iTunes 10.6

While we've already heard about Apple's new iPad and Apple TV, a few more things are trickling out after the event that just wrapped up in California. Along with iOS 5.1 and the new iPhoto for iPad, Apple will also launch iTunes 10.6 this afternoon.

There's no word on new features, but it will of course feature support for iOS 5.1...

More evidence surfaces of upcoming Apple TV refresh

Yesterday, 9to5Mac reported that it had heard from reliable sources that Apple was on the verge of releasing a new Apple TV. The site claimed that there's a good chance that we could see the product unveiled alongside the new iPad next week.

The report makes sense, considering the previous proof we've seen that an ATV refresh was on the way. But in case you needed any more convincing, AppleInsider has uncovered some new evidence...

FireCore updates Seas0nPass with firmware stitching

Attention all Apple TV jailbreakers, FireCore has just released a new version of its popular jailbreaking utility known as Seas0nPass. The software is the ATV equivalent of an app like Absinthe.

In the latest update, which brings Seas0nPass to version 0.8.2, FireC0re has added in a new stitching feature which makes downgrading to previous firmware versions possible...

Apple TV disappears from Best Buy inventory ahead of expected refresh

The Apple TV is in an interesting spot right now. Apple introduced the media hub, in its current form, all the way back in September of 2010. So in comparison to the company's other iOS products, the ATV is long overdue for a refresh.

But given all of the rumors that we've heard that Apple is building a full blown TV set, you have to wonder if we'll see another iteration of the set-top-box. Well whatever the next 'Apple TV' product is, we could see it very soon...

aTV Flash (black) Update Brings Automated Backups and More

aTV Flash (black) Version 1.2 Released

Apple Seeds Updates for the Apple TV and iPhone 4S

Apple has been on a roll this week with software updates, seeding iOS 5.1 beta 2 to developers and iTunes 10.5.2 to the masses. Now the company has just released two more software updates for iOS devices.

The first is for the Apple TV 2, bringing the device to iOS 4.4.4. The update appears to just contain minor improvements, as no new features have been discovered yet. And the second is for the iPhone 4S.
