What to expect from Apple’s iPad event

Last week, Apple sent out media invitations for an event set to take place on Tuesday, October 22 at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, California. It's believed that the event will focus on new iPads, but OS X Mavericks and new Macs are also expected to get some on-stage time.

On the iPad front, we're anticipating a new 9.7-inch model with a redesigned shell, an A7 processor and other upgraded internals. And as for the iPad mini, it sounds like Apple's tiny tablet is finally going to be getting that high resolution Retina display everyone has been asking for.

Apple to host satellite stream of October 22 event in London

Earlier today, Apple sent out invitations to an October 22 media event saying "we still have a lot to cover." It's believed it will focus on the new iPad and iPad mini, but new MacBooks and OS X Mavericks are also expected to get stage time.

The event itself will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. But according to a new report, Apple plans to stream the keynote to a separate London satellite event to cater to media members not located in the US...

Apple posts new iTunes Festival video ‘Moments’

There's only a few days left in the month, and that means that Apple's iTunes Festival is winding down. In fact, the show will come to a close on Monday, September 30 with a performance from Katy Perry.

To commemorate the event, Apple has tonight posted a short video to its YouTube channel entitled 'Moments,' which highlights a few of the 60 acts that took the stage in London over the past 30 days...

Apple finally posted it's big iPhone event to its YouTube channel this weekend. The media event, which has been one of the company's most significant in recent memory, saw Tim Cook and co show off not one, but two new iPhones, and a redesigned iOS 7.

Of course, the event has been viewable online for a while now. But if streaming the keynote through Apple’s website isn’t your thing, you’ll be happy to hear that you can now watch the presentation from virtually any desktop or mobile device via YouTube…

iDB is ready for Apple’s iPhone event tomorrow, are you?

In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, tomorrow is a huge day for Apple. The company is expected to unveil not one, but two new smartphones: an iPhone 5S, which will replace the current flagship iPhone 5 handset, and an all-new low-cost 'iPhone 5C' model.

We're assuming there won’t be a live stream of tomorrow’s presser (although you never know), and a clip of the event won’t likely be available until hours after it’s over. But never fear, iDB will be here all day providing you with coverage and commentary…

Apple dresses up Cupertino campus ahead of tomorrow’s iPhone keynote

Ahead of tomorrow's iPhone keynote, which starts at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern, colorful banners have now gone up the facade of Apple's Town Hall auditorium building in Cupertino, California. Watchful folks could point out that Apple typically holds its high-profile product unveilings at major venues like San Francisco's Moscone West or Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

This time around, they've opted for a more intimate (and more controllable) setting at its own campus. The last time Town Hall was used was for the iPhone 4S introduction in October 2011. As yo can see yourself, the media event livery pictures the same colorful dots we first saw on Apple's event invitation.

Apple sends out invites for separate September 11 media event in Beijing

Just one day after Apple sent out invitations to a September 10 media event to take place at its Cupertino, California headquarters, the company has apparently sent out invites to a separate event to be held in China a day later.

The event will take place at Beijing’s World Trade Center, and notably, the invitation looks exactly like the one sent out yesterday, albeit the Chinese text. So why would would Apple want to hold a separate iPhone event in China?

Boom, just like that an independent and unambiguous confirmation of Apple's rumored iPhone-focused media event, apparently due in less than a month, has now arrived.

You'll remember that two days ago AllThingsD was first to claim that Tim Cook & Co. will take the wraps off of a next-generation iPhone at a media event on September 10.

AllThingsD is a Wall Street Journal blog which rarely publishes unconfirmed rumors, but despite its aura of credibility it's always nice receiving an independent confirmation of a major rumor like this. Monday, The Loop's Jim Dalrymple has thrown its proverbial 'yep' behind the AllThingsD rumor, all but confirming the September 10 event...

Apple to unveil new iPhone at September 10th event

Apple will take the wraps off of its next generation iPhone, believed to be the iPhone 5S, on September 10, according to a new report from The WSJ-owned AllThingsD. The blog says that sources have confirmed the company is planning a media event for the date.

While we haven't seen near the amount of "leaked" parts for the new iPhone as we have for the rumored budget model or the iPad 5, we still think we have a pretty good idea what to expect: a familiar-looking device with internal upgrades and an improved camera...
