RemindMeAnywhere: access a custom reminder with Activator

Looking for an excruciatingly simple way to set a personal reminder, and don't feel like fooling with the stock Reminders app? If so, RemindMeAnywhere might be the jailbreak solution for you—if you can deal with its limitations.

RemindMeAnywhere allows you to create a custom reminder and assign it to an Activator gesture. Upon invoking the tweak using the established gesture, a dialogue box will appear containing your custom reminder text.

MoreInfo provides media search for Activator

Flipflop is a jailbreak tweak that brings Alt+Tab-esque functionality to iOS by means of a handy Activator action. The tweak can be assigned to any available Activator gesture, but the developer hints that the Home button is best suited as the means of which to activate the tweak.

How to add LG-inspired ‘knock’ gestures to Activator

The LG-inspired KnockOn feature seems to be a big hit amongst the jailbreak community. We've already seen Elias Limneos' KnockOn inspired tweak called SmartTap, and now we have Knock.

Knock is an Activator add-on that adds two new gestures to the mix: the ability to knock on (hard tap) the sides of the iPhone or the front and back of the iPhone. Knock uses the device's accelerometer to detect knocks, and a lot of work has been put into its development to prevent false positives. Have a look at our video demonstration for more details.

Activator beta updated with exciting new Profiles feature

A brand new feature has been added to the beta version of Activator, and it's a pretty big deal. You can now set up differing profiles for groups of Activator assignments, making it possible to have different Activator assignments based on various circumstances.

The new Profiles panel, which is accessible at the bottom of the main page of Activator's preferences, allows you to quickly add, name, edit and remove custom profiles. You can then switch to a custom profile and begin setting up assignments that only pertain to that profile.

Making the rabbit hole go even deeper, you can actually assign Activator gestures to switch to a Profile, which opens up a whole new arena of possibilities for automation and activation. QuickWeather: Easily access current weather info from anywhere

QuickWeather is a recently released tweak that allows users to access current weather information from anywhere on the iPhone. By means of a handy Activator gesture, users can invoke QuickWeather from the Home screen, or while within an app.

ActiveAlarm: Open the Clock app directly to the alarm section

ActiveAlarm is a brand new jailbreak tweak that can be handy for those of you relying on your iPhone as an alarm clock. It's a tweak that allows you to assign an Activator gesture of your choice to the stock Clock app.

While it's true that Activator already contains an action for launching the stock Clock app, ActiveAlarm takes it one step further. How to control Philips Hue lights from Control Center

I have a special fascination with home automation, and I'm usually up for trying anything new in this space. For that very reason, I was super excited to try out the Philips Hue lighting kit when it first launched, and I picked one up on day one. You can watch my Philips Hue unboxing and review here.

Philips has a decent, if not a bit cumbersome to use, app available that allows you to control the Hue lights. I was always a big fan of the hardware, but I thought the software left a lot to be desired.

One of the biggest gripes for me is just having to launch a separate app in the first place. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could turn your lights on and off directly from native iOS? Wouldn't it be even more awesome if you could control your lighting directly from iOS 7's Control Center?

QuickActivator: Add customized Activator shortcuts to Control Center

QuickActivator is a recently released jailbreak tweak that allows users to add customizable Activator shortcuts to the quick launch section of iOS 7's Control Center overlay. The tweak works with any valid Activator action, including launching an app, opening a menu, toggling a switch, composing tweets and Facebook status updates, etc.

Existing quick launch shortcuts found in Control Center—Flashlight, Timer, Calculator, and Camera–can be customized with custom glyphs and tap and hold gestures. Brand new quick launch shortcuts can be added as well, and users can select from well over 70 glyphs, and mate them with any of the actions available via Activator.
