Colorize iOS 14’s Status Bar-based camera and microphone indicators with IndiColor

New in iOS 14 are colorful Status Bar-based dot indicators that alert you to when your handset’s camera or microphone are being used – a commendable feature with respect to privacy.

By default, the camera indicator dot appears green, while the microphone indicator dot appears a light orange. Unfortunately, there’s no way to change these colors on a stock device.

Give your Now Playing widget a facelift with Playour

If you’re jailbroken and you’re interested in adding a splash of color or personality to your iPhone or iPad’s Now Playing widget, then we’ve got just the thing for you!

Playour is a newly released jailbreak tweak by iOS developer popsicletreehouse that lets users customize the background, color, and border properties of the Now Playing widget.

DockX Reborn offers extensive UI customization for the Home Screen’s Dock

The Dock is a place on your Home Screen to store some of your favorite apps. Its useful because it follows you from one page to the next so that you don’t have to go out of your way to search for those specific apps in the future.

I use my Dock all the time, but I certainly wish Apple offered a little more in the customization department. For that reason, I can recommend a new jailbreak tweak called DockX Reborn by iOS developer Mudi47 to anyone who feels the same way I do.

WebShade brings Dark Mode to the web pages you visit on your jailbroken iPhone

Words can’t express how much I enjoy the native Dark Mode feature on my iPhone and iPad, but even though most of my apps play along with this feature, many would agree that most web pages don’t.

If, like me, you’re a Dark Mode user on the iOS and iPadOS platforms and despise having your eyeballs seared to a crisp in their sockets by ultra-bright web pages, then chances are you’ll appreciate the concept behind a new and free jailbreak tweak dubbed WebShade by iOS developer WilsontheWolf.

Spectral gives jailbreakers a sleeker Now Playing interface with an audio visualizer

Given that iOS devices continue to be some of the best music players on the market today, it’s not surprising that we continue to see more and more jailbreak tweaks for pwned handsets that try to out-do Apple at their own game, or at the very least, offer a level of personalization for the end user that otherwise wouldn’t be available on a stock handset.

For those wanting to expand on Apple’s award-winning music player experience, a new jailbreak tweak dubbed Spectral by iOS developer Beckett O’Brien just might be of interest.

AdaptiveHome colors the Home Bar based on the icon of the app you’re using

One thing I like to do with a jailbroken iPhone or iPad is give it some personality. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, but I thoroughly enjoy subtle modifications that maintain Apple’s native design aesthetic to a certain degree while still offering something a bit more custom than what you’d experience on a device fresh out of the box.

If you’re anything like me with regard to the above sentiment, then I think you might enjoy a newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed AdaptiveHome by iOS developer MiRO.

Set any image as your Dock’s background with PhotoDock

If after jailbreaking your iPhone, you’ve started looking for a fun and quirky way to customize the Home Screen’s aesthetics, then we’ve got a treat for you.

PhotoDock is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak developed by PopsicleTreehouse that lets users set a custom background image for the Home Screen’s Dock.

BatteryBuddy is a cute Status Bar battery icon extension for pwned iPhones

Many different forms of device customization exist for jailbroken iPhones and iPads. Whether you’re trying to make the device behave differently than it does out of the box or you’re looking to personalize the user interface with themes, there’s a little bit of something out there for everyone.

One great example would be a newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed BatteryBuddy by iOS developer Litten, which provides the end user with a much cuter battery indicator in the Status Bar.

Customize your jailbroken iPhone’s Lock Screen with LockNice

If you’re in the market for an easy-to-use jailbreak tweak that lets you customize aesthetics on the Lock Screen and some other parts of iOS, then you may want to turn your attention to the likes of a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called LockNice by iOS developer ahmedmakls.

At face value, LockNice appears to be made for tweaking the look of your Lock Screen in subtle, yet personal ways. But when we tested the tweak, we were pleasantly surprised to find that some of the colorization features extended to the Home Screen.

Customize the toggling sound of your pwned iPhone’s flashlight with FlashSound

If you use your iPhone’s rear-facing LED flash as a flashlight to help you navigate dark environments from time to time, then you’re far from alone.

Right out of the box, Apple provides a shortcut on the Lock Screen for the aforementioned purpose, and it even offers a satisfying amount of haptic feedback when toggled. As for a cool sound effect, however, users are left underwhelmed.
