T-Mobile taking over $100 off all iPads for Mother’s Day

Folks still scrambling to find a Mother's Day gift before Sunday may be interested to know that T-Mobile is currently running a promotion on iPads. For a limited time, the carrier is taking more than $100 off all iPad models including the Air 2, mini 3, and second-gen mini.

As always, there are a few stipulations. You can't just buy the tablet outright and receive the $100+ credit—you have to purchase it on an Equipment Installment Plan, and you must keep a 1GB+ Simple Choice Mobile Internet plan active and in good standing for 24 months.

T-Mobile and Blackberry agree to forgive and forget

BlackBerry CEO John Chen announced on Thursday that the handset-maker has resumed its partnership with T-Mobile. You'll recall that the two companies decided to part ways last year following a smartphone promotion where the carrier targeted BlackBerry users with an iPhone 5s offer.

Chen says the new agreement won't result in him wearing magenta shirts, but he concedes that it's the right move for both customers and shareholders. "Expanding availability of BlackBerry's products and services to T-Mobile's tens of millions of U.S. customers is an important step for us."

T-Mobile again offering free MLB At Bat Premium subscription to customers

Football season has long been over and basketball is getting there, but baseball season is just getting started. And for fans of the sport who are either on T-Mobile, or thinking about it, you'll be interested to know that the carrier is once again offering MLB At Bat Premium to customers.

As noted by Droid-Life, the promotion is season-long, beginning May 1 and running through the end of September. To qualify, customers must download the MLB At Bat app on Android or iOS while on T-Mobile's network—you will not get the discount if you are on Wi-Fi or roaming.

T-Mobile brings Uncarrier plans to businesses, announces ‘Un-contract’

T-Mobile has announced its Uncarrier plans will now extend to small business accounts, as it looks to take on larger carriers AT&T and Verizon, who cover most of the business wireless accounts across the US.

With a Red Bull and f-bombs aplenty, non-traditional T-Mobile CEO John Legere just announced at an event in New York its business plans are up to 40 percent cheaper than rival offerings from AT&T and Verizon Wireless.

T-Mobile extends Data Stash to prepaid customers, 10GB of free LTE data included

Back in November, carrier T-Mobile USA unveiled Data Stash, a much welcomed deal for subscribers that rolled all unused data over to the next month, for up to a year, while stocking each Data Stash with ten gigabytes of free data.

Monday, the wireless company extended Data Stash to prepaid customers. Just like Data Stash for subscribers, prepaid customers will also get ten gigabytes of free 4G LTE data.

The promotion kicks off March 22. It's the same deal postpaid customers have been enjoying: any unused data gets automatically put in the virtual Data Stash, where it can be used anytime during that year.

Sprint will pay what it costs for you to switch carriers

Sprint really wants your business. Not only will it cut your bill in half, but now the nation's fourth-largest carrier will pay the early termination fee and any remaining payments at its competitors for you to come over to its network.

The early termination fee is why many customers don't make the switch from one carrier to another. In many cases, the fee is required to be paid to end the two-year contract carriers like to lock you into.

T-Mobile claims it’s third largest US carrier over Sprint

T-Mobile CEO John Legere claims that his Uncarrier is now the third largest carrier in the United States, overtaking Sprint for the spot behind AT&T and Verizon. Legere had been predicting the overtaking of Sprint for sometime, and he finally made the claim it's happened during T-Mobile's earnings call Thursday afternoon.

Google’s wireless service will reportedly switch between carriers for best connection

The Wall Street Journal reports Google's upcoming and rumored wireless service won't rely on one single carrier, and instead will switch between networks to give customers the best wireless signal.

The service will feature new technology that would hunt through cellular connections provided by Sprint and T-Mobile and Wi-Fi hotspots, picking whichever offers the best signal to route calls, texts and data, the newspaper's sources said.

T-Mobile’s Smartphone Equality gives everyone access to best deals, no credit check required

The nation's fourth largest wireless carrier, T-Mobile, is adamant to do something about the millions of people with less than perfect credit score who don't qualify for some of its attractive financing options.

“Carriers spent billions of dollars advertising deals and plans that half of Americans can’t get when signing up for wireless service,” the carrier said Thursday.

Enter Smartphone Equality, a new initiative created to solve that particular customer pain point, kicking off for all customers on Sunday, January 25.

So, how does it work? Read on.
