Lyrication v2 adds slick music lyric support iOS’ Now Playing interfaces

Music enriches our lives at a spiritual level, and that’s one of the reasons why it can be so enjoyable to turn on the radio when you’re at work or undertaking a menial task. But if you’ve ever listened to a song and couldn’t distinguish its lyrics before, then you’d understand easy access to song lyrics is such an imperative ingredient for the ideal mobile music player, much like your iPhone.

Many music streaming applications already come with lyric functions out of the box, but this only applies to when you’re in that particular app. Apple could and should make the user experience more useful by allowing lyric viewing from the Now Playing widget anywhere in iOS, and that’s one reason why a free jailbreak tweak called Lyrication v2 by iOS developer Marcel Braun exists.

Violet makes the Now Playing track’s album art into your handset’s wallpaper & more

Jailbreakers have a lot of reasons to enjoy using their iPhone, perhaps more than those using unmodified handsets. This very same sentiment pertains to iOS’ music consumption experience, which can be completely augmented with the help of fun and quirky jailbreak tweaks such as a new and free release called Violet by iOS developer Litten.

As depicted in the screenshot examples above, Violet complements the music consumption experience on the iOS platform by automatically replacing the handset’s existing wallpaper image with that of the album artwork of any Now Playing track. Best of all, this process happens in real time and supports both the Apple Music and Spotify Music apps.

Mask album artwork in the Apple or Spotify Music apps for free with Hazmat

It was only a couple of days ago that we showed you a new jailbreak tweak dubbed N95, which brought a myriad of different masking effects to the album artwork in the Apple Music app and Now Playing widget interfaces found throughout iOS. Since N95 was a paid tweak that offered simple functionality, it may come as no surprise that a team of iOS developers comprised of CaptInc, MegaDev, and Charlie While have just released a free alternative dubbed Hazmat.

As shown in the screenshot examples above, Hazmat works in a similar way to N95 by offering users with various masking effects that can give the Apple Music or Spotify Music app’s Now Playing interface a customized and sleek makeover. Furthermore, as you’re about to witness, the tweak is just as easy to use as N95…

This tweak shows Spotify’s car mode interface at all times

The Spotify Music app sports a magnificent Now Playing interface that rivals even Apple’s own first party Apple Music streaming app in terms of aesthetics and usability. But if you’ve ever linked your iPhone to your car via Bluetooth before, then you’ve unquestionably witnessed Spotify’s simplified Now Playing interface.

Even if you’re not driving, this Now Playing interface may be preferred in some cases because it’s easier to operate whether you’re distracted or not. A newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed Spotify Car Mode Emulation by iOS developer aesthyrica can force your Spotify app to show this Now Playing interface all the time, whether you’re connected to a car via Bluetooth or not.
