The Xcode method came in clutch for me countless times when Cydia Impactor stopped working for an extended period and when all the best signing services had been revoked; to make matters worse, my handset's iOS version was too old to run AltStore. Cydia Impactor and ReProvision allegedly working again for some users

In a somewhat miraculous turn of events, it appears that popular jailbreak-centric utilities including the likes of Cydia Impactor and ReProvision have started working again for some users.

The news came first by way of ReProvision lead developer Matt Clarke, who confirmed with us via email that ReProvision was actually alive and well again starting Sunday evening. Saurik made a rare public appearance on Twitter Tuesday afternoon to discuss the future of Cydia Impactor and a particularly frustrating error that users have been experiencing since Apple pushed some of its latest software updates for Mac and iOS.

Saurik updates Cydia Impactor to v0.9.52 with support for macOS Catalina

It was only yesterday that Apple unveiled macOS 10.15 Catalina and launched the first developer beta, and it didn’t take long for beta testers to report that Saurik’s Cydia Impactor tool wouldn’t open on the newfangled macOS operating system due to its 32-bit nature.

Unc0ver open-source jailbreak tool released with support for iOS 11.0-11.4 beta 3

For the last several months, anyone with an interest in jailbreaking iOS 11 had no other option besides Electra for iOS 11.0-11.3.1. But as of this weekend, things are changing.

On Sunday, former Electra Team member Pwn20wnd announced the release of a new open-source semi-untethered jailbreak tool dubbed unc0ver, and it’s being billed “the most advanced jailbreak tool.” Moreover, enc0ver is cited as being a joint effort between Pwn20wnd and hacker Sam Bingner, with the UI having been designed by Dennis Bednarz and Samg_is_a_Ninja.
