Many Verizon iPhone users are experiencing issues with the latest JailbreakMe exploit that causes their device to get stuck at the Apple boot logo. If you’re one of them, here’s how to fix it!

Comex, the brains behind JailbreakMe 3.0, has published instructions on how to fix the issue that should get your device running smoothy again, and here they are.

You have two options if you’re experiencing this issue: you can either restore your device and forget about the jailbreak, or you can try a “quasi-experimental fix using redsn0w” to try and maintain your jailbreak:

Those of you who have been experiencing bugs after using JailbreakMe will be glad to find out that Comex made some fixes to the kernel patches for the userland jailbreak, and these fixes have been pushed as an "Essential Upgrade" in Cydia.

To get this update, simply launch Cydia and you should be prompted to upgrade. Make sure you do not run JailbreakMe again over your current jailbreak. Instead, let Cydia do the job for you...

JailbreakMe Used 2,000,000 Times, Responsible for Jailbreaking 1% of All iDevices

JailbreakMe was released just a few days ago and has already had fulgurant success. Twelve hours after its launch, 500,000 iDevices had already been jailbroken. Fastforward a few days later, and JailbreakMe has now been used over 2,000,000 times.

Yesterday we told you about an issue that could be reproduced on iPads jailbroken with JailbreakMe when trying to use Apple's Camera Connection Kit. If you own an iPad jailbroken with JailbreakMe, you can't use the Camera Kit for the time being.

Comex has been aware of the issue, and today he announced on Twitter that he has a fix coming up this Friday. According to Comex, the fix will be available in Cydia as a new package to install...

After a long wait, Comex released JailbreakMe 3.0. And now a huge number of iOS devices have already utilised the hack.

The jailbreaking method, which simply requires a user visit a website and press a button, is aimed at jaibreaking iOS devices running version 4.3.3, as well as being the first jailbreak available for Apple's iPad 2.

With experts warning that the same method Comex uses could also be used in a malicious context, it was only a matter of time until Apple looked to plug the PDF exploit that the jailbreak relies on....

JailbreakMe 3.0 has garnered some serious attention over the last 48 hours. The last report we heard was that the site had been visited over a million times, and the PDF exploit had been downloaded over 500,000 times.

The exploit must have also grabbed the attention of Germany's Information Security team, because the group just issued a country-wide warning for all iOS products. The Mobile Safari vulnerability exposed by Comex in his new jailbreak tool has really made some folks nervous...

iPad Camera Connection Kit Not Working After JailbreakMe 3.0

Today, a lot of people on Twitter were reaching out to Comex because, after using JailbreakMe 3.0, their Camera Connection Kit for their iPad no longer worked. Comex addressed this issue by saying "Okay, there is a known issue with the Camera Connection Kit and JailbreakMe.".

A minute later he also said "...It makes me feel bad to ignore peoples' emails, but last night I was sort of flooded with them." About 5 hours later, Comex also tweeted that the reason it didn't work is because he broke "Invalid Checksum"...

Talk about a hit! iOS jailbreak developer Chpwn just tweeted that JailbreakMe, which was released about 10 hours ago, has already been used to jailbreak 500,000 devices, including iPhones, iPads, and iPods. Also according to Chpwn, the website www.JailbreakMe.com has seen over 1,000,000 visitors in its short time online since Saffron was released.

I knew people had been waiting for JailbreakMe 3.0 to be released for a while, but the success of this jailbreak really shatters my expectations, and probably Comex's as well...

JailbreakMe 3.0 is extremely easy to use. You simply navigate to a website on your iDevice, and within a few screen taps you're jailbroken. But if Comex can design web software that can gain root-level access to your iDevice so easily, why couldn't someone else?
