The Wallpapers of the Week section is full of different types of images and we try to post them in specific categories or themes. However, sometimes, I end up with a bunch of random wallpapers from reader submissions that are amazing, but do not fit nicely into a specific category. Today, I wanted to throw out a little smorgasbord of downloads for your viewing pleasure. You will find a mismatched collection of images, where the only similarity is their beautiful abstract shape and colors.
This past week the iPhone X was announced on stage by Tim Cook and company. Based on the availability of iPhone 8's, it is clear most people are waiting for the newest flagship device in November. Each time a new device is launched, Apple uses a wallpaper just for that single device in most of its advertising. Apple's iPhone 8 media event is scheduled for 10:00am Pacific Time on Tuesday, September 12. Each event is announced using media invitations that quickly make their way around the web. This past Tuesday, everyone was able to get their hands on the new iPad Pro devices. These impressive new machines are even geekbenching as high as some MacBook Pros. On April 27, Apple opened its second store in Dubai and third in the United Arab Emirates. In an attempt to mitigate the ever-changing local climate, Apple used 18 "Solar Wing" panels, comprised of 340 carbon fiber polymer rods to create an opening structure that closes to block the sun, but opens at night. Last week, Samsung announced its newest flagship device, the Galaxy S8. While there are many jokes to be made about Samsung handsets, exploding batteries aside, they are good at some things.
