Along with being able to play classic Nintendo and Sega games on your Apple TV, you can also play classic arcade titles. Doing so is made possible by a port of MAME, which stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. Unfortunately there isn't yet a GitHub page setup for the MAME tvOS port, but the same developer that created the MAME emulator that we showed you a while back has made the full Xcode project available for download.
How to install a web browser on Apple TV
Sideloading the tvOSBrowser that we reported on earlier is easy, it just takes a bit of massaging to make it all work. You'll need to be familiar with our standard sideloading tutorial for sideloading apps, but there's one additional step that you'll have to take before it all comes together. In this tutorial, we'll show you all that's involved in a hands-on step-by-step video.
How to use photos from the Shot on iPhone 6 campaign as screensavers on your Apple TV
The new Apple TV features quite a few screensaver options available via tvOS' Settings app. In it, you can setup the cool new aerial view screensavers, or you can choose to use screensavers based on album artwork from music found in your music library.
Along with those screensaver options, you can enable screensavers based on photos in your photo library, including Photo Stream photos and iCloud Photo Library photos. You can even go as far as to extract photos from videos and music accessible via Home Sharing if you happen to have Home Sharing enabled.
Of course, Apple is lending us the typical Animals, Flowers, and Nature photos as screensaver options as well. Needless to say, there's no shortage of potential screensavers for use on the new Apple TV.
But one particular option stood out to me above all of the others, and that's Apple's new "Shot on iPhone 6" screensavers. Yes, Apple is allowing us to take photos from its Shot on iPhone 6 media campaign, and use them as screensavers on our Apple TV. In this post, we'll show you how.
Developer shows Apple TV can support app folders
Well-known developer Steve Troughton-Smith has been experimenting with debugging tvOS and has figured out a way to create folders on the Apple TV using the LLDB debugger. Support for folders is there in tvOS, but it's not currently being used and is not available to end users on tvOS 9.0 or the tvOS 9.1 beta.
As you might expect, folders in tvOS work very much like folders in iOS. Once enabled, all that's required is to drag an app icon on top of another app icon to create a folder. While this finding paints no timetable as to when Apple might enable folder support in tvOS, it does at least let us know that Apple has at least thought about doing so.
Apple adds new Categories section to the Apple TV App Store
Good news for Apple TV owners looking for better ways to discover new apps on the App Store. After adding Top Charts, Apple has added a new Categories section to the App Store as well. As of now, the Categories section appears to be a bit limited, so far listing only Games and Entertainment. Eventually, however, we imagine that the Categories section will become even more fleshed out like it is on iOS.

How to use a 4-digit passcode for purchases on Apple TV
Yesterday, on Let's Talk iOS, we discussed how arduous and tedious it is to enter a password on the Apple TV interface. It's a difficult process, because the Apple TV lacks support for Bluetooth keyboards, and features an A-Z text entry setup that makes the process even more difficult that it was on last generation's Apple TV.
Fortunately, the Apple TV features an option that allows you to never require a password for iTunes & App Store purchases. While using such an option works, it leaves your device open to unauthorized purchases. The good news is that, as we discussed on the podcast, you can easily set up restrictions for App Store and iTunes purchases, which will make it so that purchases only require the entry of a 4-digit passcode.

BreadCrumbArrow: a new jailbreak tweak that removes back-to-app text in the status bar
iOS 9's new back-to-app feature, which places a handy link in the upper left hand corner of the status bar to venture back to a prior used app, is a wonderful new feature. But not everyone is thrilled over the fact that it truncates that normal information contained within the status bar, effectively hiding the cellular data signal and carrier name, and other information in the process.
BreadCrumbArrow is a brand new jailbreak tweak that aims to modify the back-to-app links in such a way that they still display the iPhone's cellular data information. Instead of the name of the app, only the small arrow resides in the upper left-corner of the status bar as a means to link back to the original app.
