How to enable third-party keyboards in Google Chrome [jailbreak]

Have you ever wanted to use a third-party keyboard with Google Chrome on iOS? On a stock iOS device, you can't use alternate keyboards like Swype with Chrome, but with a jailbroken iPhone, it's possible.

ChromeKeyboardEnabler is a newly released jailbreak tweak by developer snakeninny, and it enables third-party keyboards within Google Chrome. Just install it, and you're ready to go.

This webpage lets you use 3D Touch as a scale

When the iPhone 6s first debuted with 3D Touch, there were a few apps created that served as weighing scales. The apps would use the iPhone 6s' screen pressure sensitivity to translate pressure into a loosely accurate measurement of weight.

Unsurprisingly, Apple frowned upon using 3D Touch in that manner, and any such apps submitted to the App Store were removed or rejected.

Recently, another method for weighing objects using 3D Touch has appeared—the web. Obviously, Apple can't enforce its restrictions on the open web, so you're free to visit the website to inaccurately weigh objects until your heart's content.

Apple: updating iPad Pro to iOS 9.2 might help fix unresponsiveness

If you're an iPad Pro owner, then you've likely run into the situation where the device gets stuck at an unresponsive black screen. This generally happens after fully charging the device, and it requires a force restart to bring the tablet back to life.

Obviously, this is a pretty big annoyance for anyone who picks up their iPad and wants to begin using it immediately. I've run into the issue about half a dozen times since I got my iPad Pro, and and each time is just as annoying as the last.

Fortunately, it looks as if Apple might be making some headway when it comes to fixing the issue. As first spotted by MacRumors, Apple has updated its support document for the issue, and states that updating the iPad Pro to iOS 9.2 or later may remedy the issue.

iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case review: smarter than you think

I'll be the first to admit that my initial knee-jerk reaction to the iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case wasn't good. The peripheral, which was basically the butt of jokes all morning on Twitter, seemingly came out of nowhere to the feigned horror of many.

You'd be hard-pressed to identify another company whose products are subject to such intense scrutiny like Apple. Even when you have a low key release like the Smart Battery Case, it's bound to make a splashy first impression for better or for worse.

The good news is that the $99 iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case isn't half as bad as it looks. In fact, after a few hours of usage, I can say that I kind of like it.

Is the design peculiar? Indeed. Is it weird that Apple is jumping into the battery case game? Sort of. But overall, this is a product that I think many will like if they only give it a chance.

iOS 9.2 lets you import photos and videos directly to iPhone via USB

The just released iOS 9.2 brings with it something that iPhone users have been wanting for quite some time now: the ability to import photos directly from a USB source via Apple's USB Camera Adapter. Data transfer is still going to operate at USB 2.0 speeds, but having the option to work on videos and photos shot on traditional cameras is a nice new perk for iPhone users.

Apple launches Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader to support USB 3.0 transfer speeds on iPad Pro

If you're looking to quickly transfer photos and videos from your camera's SD Card to the iPad Pro, then look no further than Apple's own Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader ($29.00) to handle the job. Apple explicitly states on its store page that the peripheral supports USB 3.0 transfer speeds on the iPad Pro.

Interestingly, the same cannot be said for Apple's Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, as that still only supports USB 2.0 transfer speeds. The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, which just launched and is available to ship in 3-5 business days from Apple's online store, appears to be the only accessory to support USB 3.0 transfer speeds on the iPad Pro at this time.

StealthFolder: turn folders invisible on jailbroken devices

Have you ever wanted the ability to hide a folder or app in plain sight on your iOS Home screen? StealthFolder is a new jailbreak tweak that lends such functionality to all jailbroken iPhone users.

With StealthFolder installed, all folders on the iOS Home screen are hidden, completely transparent, until you touch them. Once tapped, the folders open like normal, displaying their contents.

If you're looking to hide specific apps, but don't want the inconvenience of locking them down completely with Passcodes or Touch ID, then StealthFolder is a legitimate option.
