iPhone Customers Remain Loyal to AT&T

The industry was shocked when Apple announced that the iPhone would only be available on AT&T in the summer of 2007. While many phone makers tried to get their handsets on as many carriers as possible, Apple entered into an exclusive agreement with AT&T that lasted until February of this year.

Despite the new competition from Verizon, Sprint, and regional carriers like C Spire, iPhone owners have remained loyal to AT&T. Perhaps the nation's biggest GSM carrier isn't as evil as we all thought?

Apple Pulls Fake Jailbreak App From the App Store

A few days ago a $9.99 jailbreak app surfaced in the App Store. The app was clearly a fake, and we quickly told you that the app had nothing to do with jailbreaking anything — it was a crappy, 2D scrolling game.

Apple has now pulled the app from the App Store, so people will be unable to get duped by the app's false description. The real question is this: How did Apple let an app called "Jailbreak" in the App Store in the first place?

Siri Mind Control Hack Proven to be Fake

We recently told you about Project Black Mirror, a seemingly-ambitious attempt to control the iPhone's Siri technology with only mind waves. When we watched the original video of the project demonstration, we all — including the rest of the internet — got excited about the possibility of futuristic mind control.

It appears that the "hackers" behind Project Black Mirror were only controlling all of our minds, not Siri's. Several sites are now reporting that the project is fake...

Are New Bugs Joining the iPhone 4S Battery Drain Issues in iOS 5.0.1?

Apple recently released iOS 5.0.1 to the public in an attempt to fix the battery life issues that have been plaguing iPhone 4S owners on iOS 5.0. Prior to releasing 5.0.1 to the public, Apple seeded two developer betas of the software.

While iOS 5.0.1 was intended to fix poor battery performance on particularly the iPhone 4S, Apple released a statement after the fact saying that, "We continue to investigate a few remaining issues." Now, it seems that a new host of bugs have joined the mix for many users on iOS 5.0.1.

Hackers Are Able to Control Siri With Their Minds

The geniuses behind Project Black Mirror have created a way to control Siri with their minds. By constructing an elaborate system involving the Arduino prototyping platform, a MacBook Pro, and ECG pads to capture analog brain waves, these hackers can have Siri make a call by merely thinking.

Yeah, we're not kidding.

Reprise For iPhone Packs Music Shuffling in a Unique Design [Review and Giveaway]

I've had the pleasure of reviewing several great music player apps in the past, including one of my all-time favorites, NowPlayer. The bar has been set pretty high, and a new app, called Reprise, stands out among the competition as a beautiful and powerful music player for the iPhone.

Reprise is centered around shuffling your music. You can easily queue up music to shuffle through, and share what you're listening to on Twitter and Last.fm. A pixel-perfect design adds new flare to your iPhone's music library.
