Japan is a beautiful country with four major seasons: Spring (Haru), Summer (Natsu), Autumn (Aki), and Winter (Fuyu). Each of these plays a significant role in Japanese culture, cuisine, and festivals. We’ve curated this small wallpaper collection to celebrate these four natural cycles, featuring a photograph from each, which adds a unique charm to your iPhone Lock Screen and Home Screen.
Four seasons in Japan wallpaper

My fascination with Japan began when I first read about the Shinkansen bullet train and its remarkable safety record, with no fatalities since its launch in 1964. Then, I kept watching video after video about trains, businesses, food, and life in Japan, and now it’s at the top of my list of places to visit.
The four wallpapers we’re showcasing below are the fine work of Hisa Matsumura, a Japan-based photographer who goes by @Hisa0808 on X and @ag.lr.88 on Instagram. It’s a treat to browse through his social accounts if you’re a Japan aficionado like me or someone who has an eye for beautiful photography.
- The Spring in Japan wallpaper here features the iconic Mount Fuji in the background, with cherry blossoms (sakura) in the foreground.
- The Summer in Japan wallpaper is an aerial shot of the city at night, with clouds overhead.
- The Autumn in Japan wallpaper pictures a thick row of green tree canopy on one side and a different cluster of trees with orange, reddish, and yellow leaves on the other side.
- And finally, the Winter in Japan wallpaper captures snow-covered life at night.
Download and try them all on your smartphone and see which one becomes your favorite. For me, it’s the autumn one.
