In an announcement shared on social media platform 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Apple made it known that a collaborative limited-edition run of its popular Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker, designed in conjunction with Bulgarian fashion designer Kiko Kostadinov, would soon be made available for purchase.
The limited-edition collaborative run will feature a unique pattern that differentiates itself from traditional versions of the product and will be made available exclusively on the Kiko Kostadinov website starting this Friday, August 15th, at 10 A.M. BST.
The landing page for the product on the Kiko Kostadinov website cites the following as a description for it:
The limited-edition Kiko Kostadinov Beats Pill is a thoughtful fusion of modern design and historical influence. For this collaboration, we looked to the ornate geometry found in ancient iconography, reinterpreting those motifs for the speaker’s custom grill. These shapes, rooted in the visual language of Thracian craftsmanship, speak to a history where pattern and meaning were closely intertwined. The speaker is finished in our signature “Kiko gray,” a cool, neutral tone that adds a subtle, utilitarian edge. The braided lanyard acts as a subtle talisman—echoing the protective charms and ceremonial threads found in Bulgarian folk tradition, where color and craft carry meaning across generations.
As you can see from the example illustration above, the custom design features not only a pattern on the speaker grille itself, but also a unique lanyard that hangs off the side.
The internals of the speaker are identical to that of any traditional Beats Pill speaker, so the primary reason to purchase this model is for the aesthetics or to support Kostadinov’s design.
When available, it’s expected that this version of the Beats Pill will retail for the same price as any ordinary model at $149.99. Should the price differ at launch, we will update this piece.
