Second beta of Delta Camera app now available with redesigned user interface and more camera actions

Developer Riley Testut of the AltStore Team announced an all-new app called Delta Camera back in June that emulated the Game Boy Camera experience on the iPhone.  While it used the iPhone’s integrated cameras to operate, it was unique in that the interface allowed users to capture monochrome images with the same aesthetic as those from the original Game Boy Camera interface.

In an announcement shared via the AltStore Team’s 𝕏 account on Wednesday, we learned about a new update to the app that is currently available to all Patreon subscribers, and it’s being called Version 1.0 beta 2.

While it seems like a minor update in terms of the version number, the AltStore Team says that this update brings a completely new look and feel to the app, including dedicated capture and filter buttons that help to better emulate a more authentic camera experience.

In addition to the app redesign, the second beta of Delta Camera adds commonly used gestures to the camera experience, including pinch to zoom, swipe to adjust exposure, and double-tap to swap between the front and rear-facing cameras on your iPhone.

The full change log can be found below:

While Delta Camera is only available to Patreon subscribers at this time, we anticipate that it will be released for everyone in the future, when it comes out of beta. At the moment, there’s no public ETA indicating when that might happen.
