Sideloadly, a popular sideloading application that lets macOS and Windows users install apps on their iPhone or iPad via a free Apple Developer account and without using the App Store, received an important update over this past weekend to version 0.60.

The update, which the Sideloadly team announced in a post shared to /r/jailbreak, brings the following changes and improvements:
– Apple ID login has been significantly improved, resolving Local Anisette and general authentication issues.
– Added support for Apple IDs with Advanced Data Protection enabled.
– Improved sideloading and automatic app refresh over Wi-Fi: Sideloadly now waits and resumes if the device disconnects (e.g. screen locks), and alerts the user if reconnection is needed.
– Two-factor authentication (device/SMS) now works correctly even without iTunes (Windows) or Apple ID login via macOS Settings.
– Fixed sideloading on Apple Silicon Macs (M1–M4+): apps now properly refresh instead of installing as new.
– Added support for custom app entitlements (Apple Developer Program only); this is a Patreon-exclusive feature.
– Streamlined the Advanced Options section and relocated some settings to the main Sideloadly Settings window for better clarity and usability.
– Various other minor improvements and bug fixes.
Some of the biggest areas of improvement in this update are enhanced support for data protection and better sideloading over Wi-Fi. Now, Apple IDs that have Advanced Data Protection enabled are supported, while two-factor authentication now works correctly even if you don’t have iTunes on Windows or Apple ID login via macOS Settings.
The Sideloadly team depends on donations from its users to pay for the work it puts into Sideloadly, and while the project is actively maintained, funding remains limited, so updates are less frequent. The team listens to community feedback when considering features to include in updates, so users who find Sideloadly useful can donate via the team’s Patreon.
Sideloading apps doesn’t require a jailbreak – you only need a free Apple Developer account associated with your Apple ID to take advantage of it. Once you’ve set that up, you can sideload almost any .ipa file on your iPhone or iPad and then launch and use it for a limited time before having to re-sign the app with your Apple Developer account again.
