The AppleCare+ extended coverage that includes theft and loss protection is now available individually for the iPad and Apple Watch.
This means you can now enroll your iPad and Apple Watch in AppleCare+within a 60-day window from the original purchase to enjoy theft and loss protection, in addition to the usual AppleCare+ perks like accidental damage protection, a battery replacement service, 24/7 priority support and more.
Apple has confirmed this in today’s press release announcing the new AppleCare One subscription that bundles multiple AppleCare+ plans starting at $20/month. “AppleCare One also expands theft and loss protection beyond iPhone to also cover iPad and Apple Watch,” reads the announcement.
AppleCare+ Theft and Loss protection expands to the iPad and Apple Watch
This plan was previously limited to the iPhone. AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss protection costs $5/month or $50/year for the iPad and $3/month or $30/year for the Apple Watch in the United States. The cost of the AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for iPhone subscription varies depending on the iPhone model, ranging from $8-$12/month or $149-$219/year for customers in the United States.
All Theft and Loss plans include all the same perks and features as AppleCare+, in addition to coverage for two incidents of theft or loss within 12 months and unlimited repairs for accidental damage. You will receive a replacement if your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch is lost or stolen while covered by AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss.
You can purchase your AppleCare+ for iPad, AppleCare+ for Apple Watch or AppleCare One subscription starting Thursday, July 24, 2025, in the United States using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac or by visiting Apple’s website or an Apple store.
Introducing AppleCare One
AppleCare One is a monthly subscription that covers multiple Apple products with AppleCare+ at a reduced combined price.
It starts at $20/month, which buys you coverage for up to three products, such as the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Each additional product added to the subscription increases the monthly subscription price by $6. You can also add existing devices no older than four years to AppleCare One outside the usual 60-day window for AppleCare+.
The monthly subscription price remains the same regardless of the products chosen to be covered under the plan. AppleCareOne includes three claims total per year for accidental damage. According to the company, AppleCare One for the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch will save you up to $11/ month over enrolling in separate AppleCare+ plans for each device individually.
