Ted Lasso season 4 production is officially underway

The popular Apple TV+ sitcom “Ted Lasso” is definitely getting a fourth season, with production now officially underway in Kansas City.

“We’re not in Richmond anymore,” Apple TV+ announced on X yesterday. The post is accompanied by a short 15-second scene in a restaurant, proclaiming that “season 4 is now in production.”

“Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis confirmed on the New Heights podcast in March that season 4 was being written. It will focus on the coach leading a new women’s soccer team, AFC Richmond. It seems like a bunch of the characters from previous seasons are schedule to return for the fourth season, including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced on his X account that production has begun in Kansas City, sharing a still from the 15-second teaser as proof, which features Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift and Juno Temple. Other cast members may also return for season 4, but that has yet to be officially confirmed.

The fourth season will reportedly take place in the United States, in contrast to the first three seasons in which the coach was leading the UK men’s team.

“Ted Lasso” has become a hit sitcom for Apple TV+ and one of the staples of its offering, winning Apple several awards. The show has been on hiatus for two years as Apple releases the third season of “Ted Lasso” in March 2023. The Cueprtino tech giant has not said when the fourth season of the show might drop on Apple TV+, but watch this space as we’ll be keeping you in the loop.
