Apple’s team from Cupertino unveiled updates to all operating systems for their hardware at WWDC 2025 via a pre-recorded media presentation. The UI overhaul completely changes the look of the software, rivaled only by the iOS 7 redesign ten years ago.

WWDC updated OS wallpapers

The all new “Liquid Glass” design is “beautiful, delightful, and instantly familiar,” according to Apple’s launch page. The new design language is being launched across all operating systems, which will ensure a consistent experience for all apps and devices.
Liquid Glass takes advantages of optical experience as if through glass. The Lock and Home Screens will look new, while still keeping your familiar icons. The Lock Screen, especially upgraded, receives a new clock and widget layout that takes advantages of the full screen.
With each new OS comes an Apple wallpaper. These new backgrounds are available for download to your current devices without downloading the betas thanks to @iSpazio via Wallpapers Central.

Additionally, macOS Tahoe receives its own playful wallpaper. You can download the macOS Tahoe wallpaper from WWDC 2025 below, also courtesy of Wallpapers Central.
As a bonus, the following Liquid Glass inspired wallpapers by @aravdz, borrow the look and feel of the newest design language.
An Apple logo in the new glassy design is captured in these wallpapers by @privatetalky, which also take inspiration from the Liquid Glass interface language.
