Earlier this week, iOS developer LeminLimez released version v5.2 of the popular SparseRestore exploit-based Nugget iPhone customization utility for macOS and Windows, bringing powerful new enhancements such as being codesigned on both platforms, as well as a multitude of PosterBoard improvements and bug fixes.
However, it seems that the developer pushed another update in the form of version 5.2.1 Friday evening, and from what we can gather, this is a smaller bug fix update that helps smash additional bugs and augment the user experience.
Citing the change log for Nugget version 5.2.1, this release contains the following changes:
– Embedded ffmpeg into Windows app for conversion to work properly
– Fixed bug with Windows failing to convert other formats to mov
– Fixed issue relating to set options for batter files
If you’re already a Nugget user, then you can simply download the latest version of Nugget and use it the next time you run customizations on your iPhone with it. New or prospective users can ensure they have the latest improvements by simply running the latest version from the moment they begin using it.
Nugget isn’t a jailbreak, but it does replicate a lot of jailbreak tweak-like functionalities by using the SparseRestore exploit on certain versions of iOS 17 and 18 to enable customized features that you’d never spot on a stock device. For this reason, it’s particularly popular among those who can’t jailbreak at the moment.
One of the more popular features to be added as of late is the ability to set custom animated and video wallpapers to your device.
Nugget is a free download from the developer’s GitHub page for anyone who wants to take a closer look at it.
