“Behind the Light“ gradient beams wallpaper for iPhone and iPad

Nothing beats a classic gradient. This collection for the iDB Wallpapers of the Week brings a combination of simulated light and gradient colorways into single images across a collection of downloads.

Each wallpaper in the “Behind the Lights” series offers color bands ranging from a True Black to bright white, which starts each path of colors.

Admittedly, I’m on a gradient kick. But, as a discerning wallpaper enthusiast, when am I… when are we, not in a gradient kind of mood? The smooth transition of colors on an incredible OLED panel is something that many try, but few can pull of at the quality necessary for the DPI of Apple’s screens.

The featured artist this week is @damonxart, who claims to specifically be a gradient artist. Who knew?

After browsing through the X feed, it is obvious that damonxart is certainly at the forefront of gradient design. The collection today is just a small five download selection of a much larger body of digital and physical work.

I was smitten by the “Behind the Light” collection, because it reminds me of the light beam wallpapers that launched with the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro — download them on the iDB gallery.

The damonxart collection utilizes a series of gradient “lights,” shining toward a center focal point. Each light has a series of gradient colorways, transitioning through up to five different hues.

Purple, being the color preference since the iPhone Pro Max was offered in the same, resonated with me. The first two downloads have a prominent placement for the color purple in several of the light bands.
