Nugget, a customization utility by iOS developer LeminLimez that takes advantage of the SparseRestore exploit to apply jailbreak tweak-like customizations to iPhones without an actual jailbreak, was graced with a duo of updates on Wednesday as the developer finds more ways to improve and refine it.

LeminLimez announced the two updates in separate posts shared to social media platform 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), providing a link to the project’s GitHub page where they can be downloaded from.
The two updates, dubbed versions 5.1.1 and 5.1.2 respectively, add new features and address known bugs in the software. We’ve outlined what’s new in each version below:
Nugget v5.1.1
– Added support for .mkv videos
– Bumped frame rate limit to 400 frames
– Added PosterRestore team names to credits
– Fixed TrustStore (restores causing Configuration Profiles to break)
– Fixed error message causing an error when no mobilegestalt file is selected
– Fixed restore message saying not to unplug when device is on Wi-Fi
– Improved PasswordRequiredError when searching for a device
– Fixed various Windows applying errors
Nugget v5.1.2
– Fixed file mode issues relating to TrustStore
If you’re already using Nugget, then it would be a good idea to download and install the latest version so that you’re taking advantage of the newest bug fixes and improvements. New users should also make sure they’re using the latest version from the get-go.
Nugget is compatible with both macOS and Windows computers and allows certain device customizations to be applied to your iPhone or iPad over a wire. Some of the customizations are particularly popular, including third-party animated and video wallpapers, which were previously impossible on non-jailbroken handsets.
Nugget supports all devices on iOS 17.0-18.1.1, with partial support for iOS 18.2 developer beta 3 and newer. Due to the nature of the customizations you apply through Nugget, there is a small risk of boot-looping your device, so all customizations are performed at your own risk. We strongly encourage backing up your data if you should choose to try Nugget out for yourself.
Nugget can be had from the project’s GitHub page for free. It should not be downloaded from third parties.
