UIScroller is an auto-scroller for iPhone apps that helps reduce finger fatigue

When you’re using certain apps, it can be a real pain to scroll through what feels like an infinite feed of information, especially when it comes to social media-centric apps like Facebook, 𝕏, and YouTube. But what if we told you there was an easier way to scroll without all the finger fatigue?

Enter UIScroller, a free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer iamdega that you can invoke on a whim and then begin automatically scrolling at your preferred speed. This can make monitoring social media so much easier when your hands are busy or fatigued from all the scrolling.

Upon using a two-finger tap and hold gesture in a supported app, you will see the menu presented above. The menu lets you choose a scrolling speed, toggle auto-disable on or off, and choose to disable automatic scrolling entirely for the currently open app.

An example of the automatic scrolling is shown below, in the YouTube app:

When you’re ready to stop the auto-scrolling, you can simply tap anywhere or tap and hold anywhere.

It’s worth noting that UIScroller doesn’t work in all apps. While it seems to work in a lot of third-party apps, we couldn’t get it to work in Safari or any of our system apps. That said, the developer did say in their recent /r/jailbreak post about the tweak that they would consider adding support for more apps in the future, which we would surely appreciate as we would probably use this tweak most on websites in Safari.

With no options to configure except for those shown in the pop-up menu, UIScroller is very easy to use and has the potential to prevent or completely eliminate the risk of those pesky social media hand cramps that we tend to get from all the doomscrolling we do.

Those wanting to give UIScroller a try can download it for free from iamdega’s personal repository via their favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices on the latest jailbreaks. You can also view the source code on the developer’s GitHub page.

Not using iamdega’s personal repository yet? No problem. Just use the URL that we’ve provided below when adding a new source to your package manager app:
