Just yesterday, iOS developer LeminLimez released version 5.0 of their popular Nugget SparseRestore exploit-based iPhones and iPad customization utility for macOS and Windows, introducing highly anticipated animated wallpapers without a jailbreak and a variety of improvements for existing users.

On Tuesday, LeminLimez followed up in a post shared to the Cowabunga Discord server with a smaller update in the form of version 5.0.1, which brings a few additional bug fixes and improvements, which we’ve included for your reading convenience below:
– Added an option to disable the Windows path fix
– Resetting collections now also resets mercuryposter
– Fixed skip setup not applying when using Posterboard tweaks
– Recompiled bootloader for Windows
Existing users are strongly encouraged to download and use the latest release, as it offers the highest number of patches to prevent bugs and unwanted behavior. New users are also advised to make sure they use the latest release at their time of using Nugget.
Nugget is an application that users can install on their Mac or Windows PC and customize their iOS or iPadOS device with, assuming it runs a supported firmware on iOS or iPadOS 17.0-18.4 beta. There are all sorts of things users can customize, most of which would ordinarily require a jailbreak, but don’t in this case because they can be applied solely with the powerful SparseRestore exploit.
It’s worth noting that some customizations are potentially hazardous, so you do these at your own risk. For example, there have been reports of boot loops when users apply incorrectly configured changes to their device. It is therefore advised that you back up your data before using Nugget to prevent data loss.
If you’re interested in trying Nugget, then you can download it for free from the developer’s GitHub page.
