If you’ve ever been in the market to personalize your jailbroken iPhone’s Lock Screen before, then you’ve likely stumbled upon the AIM jailbreak tweak, which can be used on devices running iOS 13 and later. This tweak became well known for bringing the iOS 16 and newer style Lock Screen styles to older devices.

Unfortunately for iVintageLover, they were using an iOS 12 or earlier device at the time, and they wanted similar styles on their older device. That’s why they’ve just released a new add-on for akamatchstic’s Xen HTML tweak called LockTimeX, which brings modern Lock Screen aesthetics to those older, and perhaps ‘forgotten’ devices running iOS 12 and earlier.
As you can see in the various screenshot examples provided in this piece, LockTimeX brings the unique Lock Screen time font styles to older versions of iOS, giving you the illusion that you’re using a newer firmware than you are.
Not only does LockTimeX include different time font styles including Stencil, Rail, Rounded, and Black, but you can also choose between light or dark mode-supported aesthetics. This means that regardless of what wallpaper you’re using, it’s possible to make your date and time look good against it.
As noted on the LockTimeX GitHub project page, the add-on support iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches running iOS 9.0 and later. You will need Xen HTML, which is a free download from the Havoc repository.
While LockTimeX can currently be downloaded from GitHub and then subsequently installed with a file manager or package manager app, the developer tells us in a /r/jailbreak post that it too will be available in the Havoc repository in time, and it will be completely free as it is now.
Are you going to be using LockTimeX on your jailbroken legacy device to give it the modern aesthetics it deserves? Let us know why or why not in the comments section down below.
